Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 100-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.-Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Meet Tindra! This 11-month-old lab/collie mix is a 35 pounds of pup-tastic playfulness! She is very eager to please and can't wait to be part of your family! Tindra is a bright pup who has the best balance of curiosity and cuddliness. She already knows how to sit and is capable of learning so much more. Tolerant and food-motivated, Tindra was a rockstar for her photo shoot! Her speckled coat is just adorable and look at her in those antlers! She always appreciates a good ear rub and has acclimated well to going in and out of her kennel. As she is still a young lady, Tindra will benefit from continued training, daily exercise and a yard to enjoy in her new home. My name is Fancy . I am estimated to be 2 years old. I am a very sweet girl, but I have a very quirky personality. I am very good in the house ; I am crate trained and have used a doggie door. I love jumping right in the car and going for rides ! I walk on a leash every day currently. When I first meet people, I am very cautious, and act scared. I defiantly bond very fast to women. Young kids scare me, and I tend to go hide in my safe place , my crate. Once I feel comfy around you , I act just like every other dog. I love to give kisses , play with my toys and go for walks on the leash. I love fresh carrots for a treat or a big rawhide to chew on. I have lived with several dogs before and enjoy their company. All my vet work is done, and I am microchipped. My adoption fee covers transport from Tennessee. I can be a very good loyal companion in the right setting. I don’t necessarily need a fenced in yard if you walk me on a leash every day.

Dixie was a young mom who had to scrounge for food while living outside. She no longer has to wonder where her next meal is coming from, but she is still wondering when someone will choose her. Dixie is an energetic girl who just wants to be near her human - she prefers women. She loves to roll in the grass in the sunshine and take walks. Dixie is energetic and enjoys running around at a dog park. Being a heeler, she is very smart and quick to learn. She really wants to please.
