Story
Meet Ramsey! This two-year-old charismatic collie mix is the definition of a good time! He's a 52-pound fun-loving, kiss-giving Casanova! Are you looking for a furry pal to take with you on all of your adventures? You've found him! Ramsey has an amazing optimism about him which is such a joy to be around. He's a perfect balance between playful pup and kissing cuddler. When he leans in to be close to you, he makes it impossible to resist him- and why would you want to? Before coming to GLDR, Ramsey was in foster with kids and other pups and did wonderfully! However, they found he just couldn't contain his excitement when it came to chasing the cats, so a feline-free household is best for him. He's crate-trained and knows his basic commands as well. We took Ramsey to the Santa Paws event at Orion Oaks Dog Park recently and he had a blast. His tail never stopped wagging and he could barely contain his excitement over all the new friends he was making. He loved getting his picture taken with Santa too! As Ramsey is still a young man, he'll benefit from continued training in his new home. He'll thrive in a home with lots of activity and daily exercise. Ramsey is always up for a game of tug-o-war and a fenced-in yard of his own to cruise is a requirement for his new home. Ready to hit the road? Ramsey LOVES going on car rides and will make the best copilot! Based on our evaluation, we feel Ramsey would do best in an active home with adults of families with kids ages eight and up. We feel he has the capability to live in a home with dogs of a similar energy level as he's done well with lots of pups. We are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. If you think Ramsey is the missing piece in your family, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our fetching friend!

Story
**Adoption Pending** Oh my goodness, Crosby is cutie! He is estimated to be about 5 months old and weighs 34 pounds right now. Here are some nice facts about him. Affectionate Seeking comfort and guidance from you A little shy and insecure Big baby, whining for attention Only content when he is close to you Very submissive Needs an adopter who has the time and patience up front to work on positive socialization and trust Has a soft and low approach with other dogs and a bit apprehensive Another confident dog in the home may help with his confidence building Needs a home where any children are at least 4 years old Cosby is looking for a forever home that will provide him with the love and guidance he needs. He is all puppy- curious, playful, entertaining, and a lot of work. Cosby will also need someone who is home frequently because he can't be left alone for a long period of time due to being a puppy! Puppies require and deserve a lot of time and energy, but they will repay their families with a lifetime of unconditional love and happiness. They are looking for families to make a best friend for life! If you are interested in Crosby and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Cooper is a sweet and obedient dog. He loves people and is very gentle. He’s never had any issues besides he loves to run away! Unfortunately, our family lives in a fairly small home on a small lot. He gets walks and to the dog park often and it not enough. We are worried. Any chance he gets he will take off and run through the neighborhood. We don’t want him to get hurt and have decided it is best to find him a new home with a fenced in yard or lots of space.
