Meet Maverick! Maverick is just a baby who is still learning what being a dog is all about and is catching on very quickly. Whether it’s cats or dogs, if it’s got fur and it moves, Maverick automatically wants to play with it. This can be frustrating for senior dogs, while younger dogs will think that it’s great. Maverick likes to play with toys but gets easily distracted by the brand new world that is waiting for him to explore. Because Maverick is still learning manners, he would fit best in a home with older children. While he does well with not jumping on his foster mom, it is possible that he could accidentally knock a smaller child down. Overall, Maverick is pretty gentle and likes to snuggle with his foster mom from time to time. His crate training is coming along nicely and he can currently go for about five hours before needing to be let out. Jade's owner passed away and she and her brother needed to find new homes. Her brother found a home because he is cat friendly and now Jade needs one. She is a herding breed and would do best with older kids as she reacts to quick movements and no cats. Jade is used to having her brother around so she might be a good companion for another young dog however she is also independent. Jade enjoys her toys and is playful. This breed is high energy and can be bossy but she is a very quick learner. Her foster mom is currently working on training manners with her. Jade is also crate trained. Her current foster home has 2 dogs and no children. Jade is microchipped and weighs about 37 pounds. Est birthdate 3/17/23
