Story
Cassidy found herself on the euthanasia list at a local shelter. Not because she had anything wrong with her, but just because the shelters are currently so overwhelmed. Luckily, we were able to find a foster for her and it turns out she is a great girl! At 6 years old, she is settled, housebroken, crate-trained, and has good house manners. We haven’t yet seen her around kids, but have no reason to believe she wouldn’t be OK with them. She likes most dogs as long as they realize she isn’t a young playful pup anymore and would rather just hang out with them rather than roughhouse. She likes to follow her people around and hang out with them. If you would like to make Cassidy a part of your family, please fill out an app! She is a young and sweet South Carolina girl on the hunt for her forever home. She can be a little shy with people, but warms up quickly and once she does, you'll have a true friend in Apple. Apple can be a bit dog selective and likely would do best in a home where she is the only dog. Despite her initial shyness, Apple has a lot of unconditional love and loyalty to give. She's just waiting for that special someone who will be hers forever. Could that person be you? Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. He is a people’s dog and loves a good pet and a snuggle. He would try and crawl up into your lap if you let him! He’s kind, gentle, and just so eager to find his forever home. Buddy thinks loud noises are a little scary, and would be open to you helping him be a little less scared. He’s not quite sure what to think of cars or sirens, so until then, he’d prefer a quiet suburban life with lots of room to play and explore. Buddy is a very sweet and he just wants to be your buddy too.

Story
Nadia is a gorgeous 3-year-old female Collie mix. She is friendly and affectionate though she can be a little shy initially in new situations. She loves being around her people. She is house trained on a schedule and crate trained. She has lived in a home with teenagers and loves them. She enjoys playing with the neighborhood dogs. She is a submissive gal, we recommend a meet and greet if there is an existing dog in the home. She knows the sit command. Meet and greets are by appointment only. She has L1/L2 hemivertebra, which is not bothering her but it’s important that she maintains her healthy weight of 30 pounds. Adoption fee is waived for this pup, however, submitting the online application and being approved is required. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups should be on heartworm preventative, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ and return it per instructions.
