Story
Introducing Tramp....... This handsome guy knows several commands including sit and down. He is fully potty trained, and we believe he would do well with another dog in the home but as always, a meet and greet would be required. Tramp did test positive for Lyme Disease so he will have to be on a month's worth of antibiotics to get that cleared up. Tramp is neutered & up to date on his vaccinations. His approximate DOB is 4/9/21. He is a Collie mix & his weight at time of intake was 55 pounds. Make an appointment to meet this little cutie by commenting on this post, sending us a private message or by emailing us at

Story
Meet Montoya! He is so ready for his future to take off. After being found in the cornfield malnourished and ridden with fleas causing skin issues. Fast forward to now and he is happy, healthy, and extraordinarily super smart. Already potty training so well, he knows basic commands, and is learning more. He is so smart it blows our minds how easy learning comes to him. He is also crate-trained. Cat, dog, big and small and people friendly. Monty will need experienced adopters willing to continue his training as he grows into an amazing pupper. Adopters with a history of raising a puppy are preferred but not a must. No, we cannot adopt the boys out together. They have been very exposed to so many children of all ages as well. They even had weekend pup dates and did fabulously awesome with 0 accidents in the home. Montoya is house and crate trained pretty well, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
Meet Porky! Porky arrived in our care as an unclaimed stray.Porky is barky with new people at first but warms up quickly. He is very independent and loves his food. We think he would make a great house alert dog because he loves to bark.Porky is house trained and crate trained. Porky would do best with older kids. He is indifferent to other dogs and cats, so he may be able to get along with them in his new home as long as they aren`t in his face.Porky`s adoption fee has been sponsored!Porky is a chunky boy! He weighs about 50 pounds and would love an owner who can make sure he gets regular exercise to help him lose some of his weight. Porky`s adoption fee has been sponsored!

Story
Foster or Adopter wanted! Please read entire description. Raven's adoption fee is waived to an approved applicant. Please apply at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting.    Meet Raven! This girl is just under a year old and is a 35 pound Border Collie mix. She seems to prefer life solo without any other dogs. She may warm up outside of the kennel environment. We are unsure how she does with cats. She was originally found as a stray with her brother who was already placed in a home and is doing very well.   She has a very sweet demeanor and likes to cuddle. She will zoom around the fenced yard and come up for pets and snuggles. We believe she will do well in home, learn quickly, and be a great little companion. Raven is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is waived to an approved adopter. We believe she will be fine in a crate and quick to potty train despite spending the last couple of months in a kennel environment. Raven enjoyed meeting some 12 year old Girl Scouts who visited the kennel.   If interested in this pup, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting.  One application works for all of our dogs. ##1955167##
