Story
Meet Montoya! He is so ready for his future to take off. After being found in the cornfield malnourished and ridden with fleas causing skin issues. Fast forward to now and he is happy, healthy, and extraordinarily super smart. Already potty training so well, he knows basic commands, and is learning more. He is so smart it blows our minds how easy learning comes to him. He is also crate-trained. Cat, dog, big and small and people friendly. Monty will need experienced adopters willing to continue his training as he grows into an amazing pupper. Adopters with a history of raising a puppy are preferred but not a must. No, we cannot adopt the boys out together. They have been very exposed to so many children of all ages as well. They even had weekend pup dates and did fabulously awesome with 0 accidents in the home. Montoya is house and crate trained pretty well, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
Hi, my name is Max! I am approximately 8 years young, a goofball at heart, and full of energy. I am a family dog that loves being around any human who likes to give head and belly scratches. I am best suited for a house with a yard because I love to spend my energy outside and then lounge in the shade. I walk well on a leash and prefer to go to the bathroom in my own yard (walks are for walking, that is my motto!). I will fit well with an active family and have no issues exploring by your side! I am also great with young kids and babies. I do have separation anxiety but I feel better with a companion, especially smaller female dogs to keep me company and nap together while my family is away. I am a very loyal pup that follows commands (sit, stay, wait, aught, off, up, down, come, here, place). I am a food motivated learner and I pick up most things quickly. Bottom line, I love to love and I am looking for a structured home where I can be my goofy self with a companion or family!

Flower, even though a young pup is definitely an old soul. Flower is house trained, crate trained, and completed the Paws and Think Youth Canine Program where she learned many basic commands and is a pro at them. Flower loves children, walks, and wants nothing more than to cuddle on the couch watching tv.

Story
Scarlett is THE CUTEST! From her curly, striped tail to her sweet, speckled face, this charming chick is simply scrumptious. This terrific 4 year old tail-wagger is spunky spirited, and full of playful energy. Scarlett will sit for snacks and is anxious to learn more. She's currently in a foster home and loves playing with toys and taking walks. She can be a little dominant and possessive around canine friends, so we think she'd do best as an only dog. Scarlett will thrive with an active adopter and daily exercise. Her ideal home will include a physically fenced yard. She does have some anxiety and is currently on a daily medication. This medication will need to be continued in her new home.If you're interested in meeting or adopting Scarlett, please complete an application at: inapl.org/adoption-application. Once it's processed, a member of our team will be in touch with you to schedule a meet and greet appointment. This is the time when you and all members of your household will come to our shelter to officially make your connection with Scarlett.ScarlettAustralian Cattle Dog/Terrier mixFemaleDOB: 6/9/2019Weight: 45 lbs.Heartworm Negative
