Story
A beautiful update from Sybil's foster :) ------ I've had Sybil for about two months now. She was with a foster who couldn't keep her anymore, so I met her immediately and knew she had a great temperament and was a good dog. It was definitely worth bringing her home and working with her. I have a kennel for the foster dogs, and they all have their own large yard. And man, is she having fun! She loves romping in her yard. She meets the other dogs when I walk them, prancing around as they go by her run. She is one happy dog. She has a good amount of energy but isn't hyper. She is doing great in my kennel. She is pretty good about staying calm and not joining in the barkfest when everyone else is excited. She's great with me and independent, but she likes her pats occasionally. She leans on my leg and sometimes falls over for belly rubs. When I clean her yard, she follows me around. She's not overly demanding, which I appreciate. She's going to make someone a very dedicated and fun friend. She's a good dog and will be even better and more stable when she leaves here. She's worth the effort and will be an excellent companion for some lucky person.

Story
Nancy is a young Australian cattle dog who would just love to sit on your lap and be cuddled all day. She’s smart and full of personality with spurts of play time then lots of chill time.  Nancy is about 3 or 4 years old. She is completely house trained and is excellent in her crate. She’s good on a leash and knows several commands including “sit” and “kennel.” She is particularly motivated if treats are involved! Nancy loves other dogs but can get pretty rowdy when she plays. She would be great with a dog buddy as long as the dog is accepting, playful, and not easily offended by silly antics. One of Nancy’s favorite things is to talk to all her favorite toys. Nancy needs a home with a fenced-in yard and would prefer someone who has herding dog experience. No kids under 10 please. Nancy is being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##1270950##

Story
Gabriel came to us from a rural shelter in the Carolinas. This young dog had been seriously injured after being hit by a car. The impact broke his leg and caused his eye to pop out. Although veterinarians were able to save his eye, he wasn’t able to see out of it, so it eventually had to be removed. He has recovered quickly from that procedure as well as surgery to fix his leg. Although Gabriel is only a couple years old, he totally acts like a puppy. He is extremely curious, energetic, and playful, but also loves to snuggle. He adores playing tug, thinks chew toys are fantastic, and has a blast with stuffed toys and his Jolly Ball. Gabriel is doing great with potty training and is working on leash and crate manners. He’s a quick learner and knows sit, kennel up, and hush. He is goofy and can be rowdy, but he totally wants to be a good boy. Gabriel is good with dogs that like to play as hard as he does. He needs a home with a fenced-in yard. He’d be fine as an only dog or would have fun with a well-matched dog pal. He’d love a family who might be interested in dog sports or other fun activities and who will spend time continuing to teach him how to be a great dog.  Gabriel wants to play and wants to be loved and cuddled. He certainly deserves it after his traumatic experiences. He’s being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##1864447##

Story
Felix is an energetic and sweet American Eskimo and border collie mix who is full of enthusiasm, smarts, and plenty of puppy charm. Whether he’s zooming around in play mode or curled up for snuggles, this little guy is sure to steal your heart. Felix is doing great with crate training and is picking up on basic commands quickly. Potty training is still a work in progress, but with his eagerness to learn (especially when treats are involved!), he’s well on his way. He’s highly food-motivated, making training fun and rewarding. Crinkle toys and chew toys are his absolute favorites, and he’s always up for a game. Felix would thrive in an active home—he’d make an excellent running buddy or even a future agility star. While he loves being near his people and being snuggled, he’s also comfortable entertaining himself with his favorite toys. Felix needs a minute to warm up to other dogs, but then they are quickly pals. Felix would prefer a home where someone is around most of the day. He’d prefer a physical, fenced yard and would be fine with or without a friendly dog buddy. This smart and sweet pup is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##2309431##
