A beautiful update from Sybil's foster :) ------ I've had Sybil for about two months now. She was with a foster who couldn't keep her anymore, so I met her immediately and knew she had a great temperament and was a good dog. It was definitely worth bringing her home and working with her. I have a kennel for the foster dogs, and they all have their own large yard. And man, is she having fun! She loves romping in her yard. She meets the other dogs when I walk them, prancing around as they go by her run. She is one happy dog. She has a good amount of energy but isn't hyper. She is doing great in my kennel. She is pretty good about staying calm and not joining in the barkfest when everyone else is excited. She's great with me and independent, but she likes her pats occasionally. She leans on my leg and sometimes falls over for belly rubs. When I clean her yard, she follows me around. She's not overly demanding, which I appreciate. She's going to make someone a very dedicated and fun friend. She's a good dog and will be even better and more stable when she leaves here. She's worth the effort and will be an excellent companion for some lucky person.

Her owner says Spirit is a lovely dog but is not fitting in with the resident dogs in her current home, and so is available for adoption. While Spirit and the resident dogs in her current home do not get along, this does not mean that Spirit will react negatively to all dogs in general; however, a potential owner should be aware of this and that Spirit may want to be an only dog in her home. She is accepting of adults and older children, but will chase cats if the opportunity arises. Since Spirit is living in Kentucky and is not being kept on heartworm preventive, she will need to be tested for heartworm and a potential owner should make this a priority. Spirit's current owner says that she is a 'Shy loving border collie that needs someone who knows how to work with them. Might not like other dogs.' A yummy nougat encased in creamy chocolate to “make you feel you” as the famous advertisement states. This wonderful boy is a Aussie border collie mix. He is approximately 3 years old and weighs 60 pounds. Snickers has the kindest eyes that will melt your heart. To be honest he is struggling in the shelter. Although he is safe, knows he has delicious meals served daily and daily walks he would benefit greatly being in a foster or permanent home. Snickers is a fluffy black and white male, with white front legs and black back legs. He is very smart and is craving to be mentally and physically challenged. His breed mix desires to be trained, given commands and lots of mental stimulus. The shelter is a very loud and is over capacity so he is fearful of his current situation. Each day he improves and when he goes outside for his walks he does a cute little trot of a dance to celebrate. Snickers tail is the short stub that wiggles when he is outside smelling everything Mother Nature has to offer. So what does Snickers need??
