Story
This beautiful, 95-pound chunky girl arrived at OCAS. Unfortunately, the catalyst for her arrival here at the shelter is very unfortunate. Trigger warning: suicide. From what we understand from law enforcement, her owner lit their apartment on fire and committed suicide. It seems the attempt may have been to harm the dog through this endeavor as well, but the fire was able to be put out. Dallas has come out of her shell since arriving to our sanctuary. She desires to be with her human as much as possible and despite her age (8 years young), is extremely playful. Dallas is a professional at fetch. She loves toys and stuffed animals. She is very food motivated, as you can clearly see. She is on a weight loss journey. Dallas is good with other dogs but we have no clue how she is with children or cats. She is vaccinated and spayed. She is healthy. She is scheduled to have a regular wellness exam (which is scheduled) and after that, she will be ready to go to her forever home. This dog is extremely special and whoever makes her apart of their family is very lucky. Adopt Dallas today! https://www.charliescornersanctuary.com/adopt ##2213513##

Story
Lassie is Purebred Rough Collie and a large boy. Hes super sweet and gentle and adores women and children! Lassie is housebroke but needs a leader in the house so he doesn’t mark his territory. He will not do it in my home with lots of dogs around so I know he’s capable. He is not about the city life so he needs to be where there’s land or less city area. He was raised around horses cats and dogs and extremely social. The groomer loves him . He is very crate trained and very quiet in his crate with no separation anxiety issues . Story
Elsa is a playful 1 year old female mix (maybe some sort of Collie or a small Terrier?) weighing 21 lbs and she is fully grown. Elsa has lots of puppy energy and will need a dedicated person or family to continue her training. She is very sweet and loves to play and explore. A home without small children would be best due to her energy level. She does well with other dogs but her excitement may be too much for some. Elsa also enjoys splashing around in the pool. She would love to find a fun-filled home where she can become a wonderful member of the family.

Story
Longest resident!!! Daisy Mae has been waiting THREE YEARS for a home of her own.  Daisy Mae is a 7-year-old, 75 lb, Border Collie/Heeler mix looking for her forever family. She is UTD, spayed, microchipped and housebroken. Daisy Mae is medium energy and would love a family to relax with after going on walks and chasing balls. She is good with dogs her size or larger but not good with small dogs and not good with cats, and prefers no children. Daisy can be prone to UTI's so she takes a cranberry supplement to help prevent them. She has been known to guard items of high value and would benefit from an active and experienced family that has previous experience with resource guarding behaviors. Training will be provided at no cost to her new family to help ensure her success. She has experienced a lot of improvement with these issues and would thrive in an adult only home able to provide the structure she needs. Daisy Mae has to find her new forever home because she currently lives with a toddler and needs to be in a home without children under the age of 16 yrs old due to resource guarding behaviors. Daisy's ideal home would be an adult only home that is open to participating in training to make some minor resource guarding issues easier to manage. She is a well-trained, medium energy companion that would make an amazing pet. Please note, Daisy Mae is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their current guardian. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability. Adoption fee REDUCED: $ 75 ##1177999##

Story
Stella is a 4 year old, active, driven pure bred Border Collie. She needs to be the only pet in the home but is not reactive to seeing or meeting other animals out and about, she just doesn't share well inside the home. She is housebroken and very well behaved at home. She is a petite size for a Border Collie and has a smooth/shorter coat. She is active and needs an active home. Breed experience would be a huge plus but not required if you're active and have had prior dog owning experience. Adoption fee $150. Vaccinated and spayed. ##2083314##

Story
Lilly is a beautiful 2 year old cattle dog mix. She was abandoned at our vet's office about six months ago and when efforts to get her owners to return for her failed, they asked us to help her find a home. She is currently still living in the kennel at the vet and we would love to see her in a home. We have tested her with other dogs and she was amazing with them - polite, calm and friendly. She has done well with every person she has been introduced to as well. We have no history of how she is in a home environment but she has appeared housebroken when visiting our office for the day and is calm and well behaved. She is a great medium size and medium energy level and very smart.  Lilly was spayed and vaccinated by our vet and her adoption fee is $150.  ##2172302##
