Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ALMA-Boy was saved from being shot on the streets of Oman by an amazing organization Muscat Dog Adoption. He along with his7 friends were flown into JFK where they were cleared the CDC and then picked up and transported back to Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024 We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. Alma-Boy is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 21 November 2022 and at the time of transport weighed around 35 pounds. Mixed breed dogs in Oman are referred to as Omani Wadi Dogs, with most of them being Saluki mixes. Alma is such a gentle and sweet boy, he is a little wary at first, but having been through all he has leaving his rescue in Oman and traveling to the US is a huge change. After just a few days, he has settled in great, he gets excited when I go over to the kennels, will now take treats, very gently, shares a kennel with two other dogs and does great. One of his kennel mates, CHIP a young cattle dog is really helping to bring him out of his shell, teaching him to play and having him curious in the toys and chews. He sleeps snuggled up with, I feel he gets a lot of comfort with Chips typical cattle dog confidence. ALMA is thin, although being the kind of breed, a sighthound mix, he will not need to gain much more weight, but a few extra pounds would have him at a healthy weight. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel   and    photo albums on our Facebook page   to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Alma-Boy is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a reduced adoption fee of $300. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
Welcome Maizi to CCPAL Foster Program. Maizi is a 4-month-old Smooth Coated Collie/Australian Cattle dog and maybe some Pyrenees. She is about 30 pounds right now and should be 55 full grown. These pups are good with other dogs, good with kids, good in a crate and they love water. Marina is the most water dog one of this puppy litter. Dad looks like an Aussie and Border Collie and the mom looks like a Lab and Pyranees. These puppies are well cared for in their foster home. They have beautiful shiny coats and all of them are sweet and submissive. They are shy in new environments but they all warmed up quickly to affection. Maizi met all kinds of new people and she was supper sweet to everyone she met. She is not a big shedding pup and she has a gorgeous shiny coat. She would be great with an active outdoorsy family. She would love to be with a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She has all her vaccines and is taking heartworm and flea medication monthly. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

This girl and her sister were surrendered due to their owner not having any time for them. Gypsy is a sweet girl who takes a bit to warm up. She was protective of her sister at first but after some talks and treats, she is the sweetest girl! She is full of playful energy and will need an active family. She is with other puppies her age and size, does very well with them. She hasn't been around bigger dogs so she would need a supervised introduction. She is ready to go on a new adventure!! Gypsy is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Oh Mickey your so fine!!! Mickey is an absolute dream boat of a dog! He is fairly low key for being about 16 months old, and he sat patiently at my side while we visited stores and made new friends! He is not a big jumper and doesn’t pull much on leash unless he is super excited, and even then he responds well to positive correction and is back at your side. Mickey loves children, and he especially loved meeting the shop dogs at our favorite local shopping store. He thoroughly enjoyed his pup cup, and he explored every inch of Hollywood Feed, picked out a toy (which was surprising, he wasn’t too sure about toys last week) and wouldn’t leave the store until he ate his cheddar and bacon ice cream 🍦 Mickey does have a couple of minor things that he will need some help with. Mickey did not enjoy his bath. He was truly terrified when the water touched him, so we said “Okay, this is not for us today,” and that is okay. His family will need to work with him to help him be comfortable being bathed. He LOVES being brushed out and cooperates for a nail trim though! He needs help getting in the car, and nervous drools during the trip, but he stays in the back seat and is an excellent car rider! With help and encouragement, he’ll be jumping up in your backseat in your no time! Even after just a few times of being loaded up in the truck this morning, he was less apprehensive about getting in ❤️ Mickey is just a sweet boy who loves belly rubs and making new friends, 2-4 legged alike, who just needs a family to give him a chance. There is no love like Mickey’s, I can promise you that. He/she is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Please fill out an application at www.northboundrescue.com
