Was an outdoor cattle dog for a rancher who was abusive. We rescued her and she became an indoor pet. She is very protective and loves pets. She doesn't not like leashes or collars. And will lay down if you try to put one on her or pick her up. She is a good girl and won't run away when left outside without a collar.

The leg had to be amputated but Lydia doesn't seem to realize anything is missing and you barely will either! She is a major fetch enthusiast and often outruns all other dogs to get the ball.  Lydia tends to build strong and incredibly unwavering bonds to those she trusts and would do anything for her people. She is currently paired with our long-term deaf resident Rodeo. These two have been attached at the hip since the day they met, almost as if they understand each other's struggles. Staff often sees Lydia nudging Rodeo in order to wake him up to play! If this intelligent and active girl sounds like the perfect fit for your lifestyle, call the Ranch to meet her today!
