Story
Irish is 1 year old and 45 lbs.  He walks on the leash and plays with all the other young dogs. He can be shy with new people and dogs but when he gets to know you, he's your loyal companion. Irish's best friend is Nala a medium sized Rottweiler mix.  He is playful with all sizes of dogs, and gentle with the small ones.  Nice and friendly with people. He even likes being carried like a baby! Great gentle disposition.  Watch his video--playing with Jingles, another gentle big puppy. Email your application, found on our website under the Adopt a dog tab, and plan to bring your entire family, including other dog/s, to meet him. *Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. &#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED &#226&#128&#139 Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Please email us for an appointment and include your application (found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Forms"). Most appointments will be Friday through Sunday, though other days may also be available. We usually schedule one appointment per hour. Allow 1-2 hours for your appointment. Please look at our website and make a list of one or more dogs that you would like to see. Story
Kona is a cuddle bug. She loves being brushed however she hates baths. She is very shy at first but will warm up eventually. She was rescued from the Moreno Valley shelter. One thing we noticed about her is she gets panicked around young children and has tried to snap. However after a few days of the kids being around her she got comfortable. She was introduced to the kids very slowly. She also has to be introduced to other dogs very slowly. She is potty trained and loves treats. She loves going on walks. She does get very hyper after a long day without seeing you. We have to brag her for car rides with treats, I believe she is some what traumatized of car rides from her previous life so it does take her a minute to hop in. She loves bones and treats, however when shes full she will dig a whole to bury it and save it for later! Kona has brought our lives so much love. Sadly we are moving and cannot take Kona with us. I would like to find her a good and loving home.

Story
10/04/24 13:14 very nervous girl, tired to give her a treat but she did not want it. She walks ok on the leash and at times would stop walking. normal impound, did not vax at this time due to her lactating heavily10/05/24 10:14 Very sweet but very scared.. Needs time to adjust. 10/22/24 13:34 Dog is still pretty shy and shut down. She doesnt eat much, and when you enter her kennel, she stays frozen and it takes a lot of coaxing for her to let me pet her but she is not aggressive.. Although I fear that with quick movement, she may snap out of fear. Go slow with her and she is fine10/30/24 13:14 After visiting her for a couple of days, she is now more outgoing with me and is such a sweet heart. She is still very shy with people walking by her kennel and tries to sleep the majority of the day to help cope with this environment. I have not heard her bark once while here and she won`t easily give attention unless she trusts you. She is a sensitive girl, but she is so sweet10/31/24 13:57 Took her out to the conference room to play with some of the staff, and at first she was shy with her head low.. But within a few minutes, she quickly became comfortable with everyone and was taking turns getting pet by each of us. She knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and is very food motivated. She wasn`t too interested in toys, but she enjoyed chasing me around would play bow often. She leased well and when it was time to put her back, she went right into her kennel.
