Story
Meet Lady Agoda! Lady was surrendered to Los Angeles Animal Care and Control - Lancaster Shelter by her owner for unknown reasons. We scooped up this beautiful girl on January 14th to become a Frosted Face. Lady is 7 years old and weighs 57 lbs. Soon after Lady arrived, she was chosen to go on a two-week Frosted Fling. It quickly turned into a Foster home for this amazing "Lady is proving to be one of the smartest fosters that we have ever had. She is very tuned in to everything that is going on and definitely understands everything that we are saying. She is very motivated by praise. Lady is very mellow, friendly, and calm when meeting strangers, comes when called, knows her name, loves her bed, sleeps perfectly throughout the night, is perfectly potty trained, and shows no signs of separation anxiety. Lucy loves hugs and kisses and is very affectionate but also knows how to give people their space. She has zero reaction to everything from vacuums, hairdryers, bicycles, runners, and big trucks. Lady loves any toy that squeaks and really loves tennis balls. She can fetch but doesn’t usually give the ball back and just likes to hold it in her mouth. Lady has definitely lived in a home environment before and has free reign over our home. We never have to worry that she will touch our stuff and quietly naps when we are gone. She is also a very quiet dog. Lady gets excited for walks and is a solid loose leash walker. She is very easy to walk and calm, although she is always very proud of herself whenever she uses the bathroom and likes to do a quick zoom afterwards. She still has good mobility and can easily go for a mile or more. We usually walk her for 30 minutes in the morning and after work, and we take shorter walks mid-day and just before bedtime. She likes to chase birds and hunt for gophers on walks. Lady can normally walk past most dogs who are calm without any issues, but she does sometimes give them a low growl letting them know to stay away. She is very reactive to dogs who bark at her first so we have not allowed to meet other dogs. Lady seems somewhat disinterested in cats and is less reactive to them on walks as compared to dogs. Se passed her cat test at FFF, but I am not sure that she could share her home with a cat. I think Lady's ideal home would be a calmer, quieter household without young children and where she is the only pet. Lady would be a great dog for someone who is looking for a younger senior-ish dog but still has lots of personality and spunk!" If you are looking for a loving companion with impeccable house manners, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule an appointment to meet Lady.

Story
I’m looking for a kind and responsible person to adopt my dog Basil, asap. He is a border collie/ Labrador mixed, about 7 years old. Basil is sweet, loving, and very smart. He is potty trained outside and knows a lot of commands like sit, lay down, roll over, shake, high 5, wait, leave it, and others. He is good with kids and its very gentle. He loves baths and get in the shower by himself when he sees his towel. Basil is good with small dogs ,but hasn't been around big ones. He is not good with cats. Basil has all his shots ,but he is past due on the rabies and bordatella. I have to be honest .He has seasonal allergies, and this year has been the worse ever. Right now, he is not looking his best. He has been very itchy and he is bitting his hair off on hips and legs. Basil doesn't like vet visits, and he gets very nervous around new people or places, and will take him a little bit to get comfortable. Basil has always been an inside dog, and I would love for him to have a yard.

Story
Malani is an 9-month-old Heeler-Terrier mix puppy with a heart full of love and energy. Her previous owner had to move and couldn’t take her along, but she’s been thriving with us for the past month. Malani gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is always eager to make new friends. She’s excited about every cat she meets, though she’s still learning how to interact with them gently. Her energy is contagious—she loves meeting new people and brings puppy enthusiasm wherever she goes! Malani enjoys spending time outdoors and is always ready for an adventure or a walk. She’d make the perfect companion for an active family or anyone looking for a fun-loving, adventurous dog!
