Story
MEET MAISIE!!! Maisie is a sweet and shy girl. She was on and saved from the euthanasia list at County for being fearful. However, it only took her two days to become comfortable with her fosters, and they say her personality continues to emerge more and more each day. Maisie is exceptionally smart. She is trained to sit, shake, sit to be be leashed, sit before meals and waits for a release cue. She is trained to potty on command. She is currently working on crate training. The door is open at all times and treats are tossed in for her to become comfortable entering/exiting the crate. Maisie is an active dog and requires at least twice daily walks or runs. She would make an excellent hiking partner as well. She is not destructive when left alone but can be vocal at times. Maisie will need daily brushing; she sheds like a German Shepard. She has shown some resource guarding when it comes to her space, her people or her treats. She is a submissive female and gets alone well with the other foster dogs.  Maisie has tendencies to escape, so she is still walked in the yard on a leash for now. She is double-leashed for walks because she can be startled/interested by passing cars. She is non-reactive to passing dogs on walks. When she trusts you, she is the sweetest snuggly dog. Adopters should be aware of canine body language and recognize when she is uncomfortable with strangers. Let her approach strangers at her own pace. She is responsive to "low, side greetings." Maisie is a great dog who excel in a calm home where she feels safe and comfortable. Meet Maisie today! Story
Mister is a very sweet dog - with a sad backstory. In his last home, he was abused, malnourished, and mostly left to fend for himself. But since I’ve taken him in - we’ve made huge progress! He is completely potty trained (albeit the very occasional accident), incredibly friendly towards people and animals alike, and wants all the love anyone can give him. His breed and exact age is very much unknown. He looks to be some sort of collie mix, and my best guess would say he’s anywhere between 7 and 9 months old. I only need to re-home because I already have 3 dogs and a cat which he gets along great with, but I only took him in as a temporary foster and has been with me for about a month and a half now.

Story
Look at gorgeous Elisa! This lovely senior girl has quite the coat to keep up with, but it will help keep her at her very best! Elisa is a sweet and gentle girl. She loves butt scratches and ear rubs and is content to lounge around the house all day long. About 10 minutes of play time in the backyard is enough to get her nice and tired out for the rest of the day. She also loves to play with other friendly dogs. Elisa is a little shy, she likes her personal space when it's not play time, but she is always very gentle and tolerant and will simply walk away if she gets overstimulated. Overall, she is low energy, gentle, potty trained, good on a leash. Please apply if you would like to meet her. My Adoption fee includes the following: --Spay/neuter surgery --All current vaccinations --Microchip with free chip registration --Free wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals --Access to our Behavior Helpline for the lifetime of the pet For more information or to schedule an appointment to meet this pet, please contact Lost Our Home at 602-445-PETS (7387) or email us at adoptions@lostourhome.org.

Story
Sunshine has been looking for a home for 278 DAYS!!! Sunshine was found in a storm drain in CA. This was the 3rd time he had ended up in the shelter. This time, his owners didn't want him back and he was going to be euthanized. Sunshine is the life of the party! Pony hopping up and down the yard, any chance he gets. He is a wildly intelligent dog. He is a big fan of other dogs, that are gentle with him. His energy is unlike anything we've ever felt. He's a very special boy. Someone described him as a "new soul" and that connected all the pieces, that's exactly what it feels like! He is almost completely deaf and has some vision impairment, more so affecting him at night. Sunshine has a smaller forebrain and cerebellum than most dogs, causing a slight wobble and unsteady gait. He just looks like he's had a few too many drinks! He's completely self-sufficient and can move and potty on his own. He loves to pickup stuffed animals and toss them around! His disability doesn't get in his way whatsoever! As far as we know, Sunny was born like this. He LOVES napping and being glued on to your lap on the couch. He's the sweetest and quietest boy we've only heard him bark less than 5 times and its the cutest noise you will ever hear. Pics don't do him justice, he's very small and loves to be carried around. Story
We told Vanilla Ice that we were going to take his picture so we can post him online so we can find him a new family. His response was to go play in the biggest mud puddle he could find! Then he said, "I'm ready, let's do this!"  Vanilla Ice was picked up by animal control, living under a manufactured home in a nearby town with his siblings. Best guess is that he is a heeler/husky cross by looking at him and his siblings. We never saw his mom so it is just a best guess. The whole litter was very shy, and we had to put in some extra work to get them to be friendly and social with humans and they are doing great now. They are ready to find their new homes now. They are current on their vaccinations, deworms, microchipped and have been fixed. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question please ask in the e-mail.   All dog are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Story
Hi, I'm Lily, and I'm looking for a new home. I'm a sweet and friendly dog who loves to play and cuddle. I'm about 3 years old, but I still have a lot of energy and curiosity. I get along well with other dogs, big and small, and I don't mind cats or children either. I'm very loyal and affectionate, and I'll always be by your side. I was turned into the pound by my previous owners, and I don't know why. Maybe they couldn't take care of me anymore, or maybe they didn't love me enough. It was very scary and sad, but luckily I was rescued by the kind people at Central Arizona Animal Rescue. They took good care of me, and made sure I was spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I already know some basic commands and I am am pretty good with my manners, and I think I'm doing pretty well. I'm not sure if I'm house trained, I think I am but I'm willing to learn and please you. I'm ready to start a new life with a loving family who will cherish me and never abandon me. I promise to be a good girl and a faithful companion. If you're looking for a furry friend who will brighten up your days and warm up your nights, please e-mail mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment and come and meet me. I can't wait to see you and give you a big kiss. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Finn was found in Paradise Valley with his girlfriend. They landed on a nice family's doorstep. After taking them to the vet and checking the microchip, the found both are chipped but not registered to the correct owners. A week later, we decided these sweet pups need to find their forever homes. They are well behaved, respond to commands and a breeze to walk on leash. They were found with new collars, new leashes and well taken care of.
