Story
We met Dizzy at 3 weeks old when our friends fostered her (her litter was abandoned). We adopted her at 10 weeks into our home with a 4.5 yo bulldog. They have always been playful and snuggly. Dizzy has a sweet demeanor and we describe her as happy go lucky. She loves to snuggle any person who visits. She is submissive to other dogs and warms up to play with ones who want to. Dizzy has at times growled at our 2 yo who is learning to be gentle/calm with dogs. She is good with older kids who are predictable. Dizzy uses a doggy door 90% but fails to during storms or cold weather. She is trainable but has some obvious developmental issues - diverged eyes, drags a foot, turns circles. Dizzy is 4 - at 3 y/10 mos she had a first episode of seizures. She was initially put on phenobarbital, had seizures 2 mos later, and is on keppra also. I am 8 months pregnant and, with a toddler also, we feel we cannot properly monitor and attend to Dizzy's care the way she deserves at this time in life.

Story
Indigo is the best dog! She is playful, sweet, endearing, and ultra-gentle. She is nonaggressive, nonreactive, and isn't a barker. She is young, athletic, agile, smart, and stinkin cute! She is potty-trained, leash-trained, off-leash trail-trained (mostly), and house-trained. She's learned her name, rides great in the car, loves other dogs, did great meeting children, is spayed, de-wormed, and has all vaccines up to date. She is a 46-pound, 1-year, 4-month-old cattle dog heeler mix (likely Koolie). This girl needs an active lifestyle to be fulfilled. She is not an apartment dog. She needs daily exercise beyond short leash walks. She wants to hike and romp with other dogs regularly, and then she's happy to lounge. She is an excellent trail dog and will be the best adventure buddy. Her back story. She was scheduled to be euthanized due to the overcrowded Pima Animal Care Center shelter. After two months of decompressing and training, she is ready for her forever home.
