Story
Sweetie Pie showed up at my house in August 2025. She was severely emaciated and had dozens of ticks in her ears and on her face. She was about 7 months old. Today she weighs in at a healthy 52 pounds. She has had all her shots, been chipped, DNA tested, and been spayed. She is a collie, german shepard, pit bull, staffy mix. She is a very loving affectionate dog, craves attention, is a profusive kisser, and fancies herself a couch potato lap dog. When she was recently boarded, she seemed to be OK with other dogs. She does not want to be left alone in a house or crate but willingly goes into a crate in my bedroom for the night. She also does not like to be crated in a car. She is house trained, but you must pay attention to her alerts. She is a high energy dog. Runs like the wind when doing zoomies in the large back yard. I do not have a fenced yard. She has not learned to walk well on a leash. I am 83 years old, she is too much for me to manage. I need to find a loving home for her.

Meet Onyx – The Smart, Spirited Adventurer  Onyx is a handsome 4-year-old Lab/Kelpie mix weighing about 45 lbs. This intelligent, high-energy boy loves to stay active and is always ready for a new adventure! He’s doing wonderfully with his training — mastering commands, basic obedience, crate training, and housebreaking like a pro. Onyx came to the rescue heartworm positive, but he’s completed treatment and is now heartworm negative and healthy! Onyx gets along well with kids and other dogs, but he would do best in a home without cats. He has been neutered, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. Adoption Fee: $250 If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent companion who’s always up for fun and affection, Onyx is ready to join you on life’s next adventure! October 19, 2025, 9:28 pm
