Story
Caramel, affectionately called Cara by her foster Mom, is looking for a special forever home.  Cara is 6 years old and 35 pounds.   She LOVES food! :-).  Cara needs a calm home in the suburbs with a securely fenced yard.  Cara spent her life having babies for a breeder so she can be nervous around new people.  She takes daily, inexpensive medicine to help lessen her anxiety.  She is currently in an only dog home, and, ideally needs to be the only pup in the home. She did previously live with another calm pup,  Cara is gorgeous!  She is a “go slow” girl at first and once she knows you are not going to hurt her, she’s a total love!  She also loves toys!  Cara is house and crate trained although prefers to live crate free - who can blame a girl! To learn more, please email adoptme@cockerspanielrescue.com.  She is located in Alexandria, VA and will need an adopter in the northern VA/MD/DC area.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 24, 2024, 1:17 pm

Story
Hi!  I'm Charlie and I'm looking for my forever home! Let me tell you a few things about me.  I'm 12 years old and 30 pounds.  Yes, I could lose a few pounds, but, can't we all?  LOL.  I'm in a temp foster home with three other pups and I do just fine with them. In my previous home I lived with a cat and grandkids too.  I'm pretty easy going guy.  I'm house trained too.  I'm also very helpful in the kitchen by sitting nicely and waiting for you to drop a few bites. Yum! My only request is for a home with minimal stairs or a family who can help me up the stairs.  I don't mind being lifted at all.  Oh, one other item, this nice rescue had a few growths removed and one on my ear was a very low, low grade cancer with no other follow up needed.  Thanks OBG for saving my life with the surgery.  You're the best! So if you're looking for a nice gentleman to join your family, pick me!  PICK ME!  Send an email to the rescue at adoptme@cockerspanielrescue.com.  THANK YOU!  I'm located in northern VA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 30, 2024, 3:32 pm

Story
Rosie is looking for a foster or adopt home! She is the SWEETEST 6 year old, 30 pound English cocker spaniel.  She is great with other dogs and excellent house manners.  Rosie loves leash walking and very good in the car too.  She has a long tail that wags non-stop.  She's never met a stranger -- two or four legged.  Rosie loves squeaky toys and doesn't mind sharing them with others. She happily sleeps on a dog bed at night too.  She is perfection!  When Rosie arrived we removed a mass that the biopsy noted as cancerous.  We were able to obtain minimal clear margins and she has no signs that the cancer has spread. We anticipate she'll live a long life! To learn more about Rosie, please email adoptme@cockerspanielrescue.com. Thank you for helping Rosie find her forever home this holiday season!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 6, 2024, 8:49 pm
