Story
Meet Sophie - read what her foster mom has to say about her. Sophie is an 8 1/2 yo cocker spaniel weighing about 20 lbs currently that Logan’s rescued from a commercial breeding kennel.  Sophie is good in the car and good in the crate.  She loves exploring our fenced in yard and stalking the squirrels. We go for 1-2 walks every day and will sit and let me put on her leash/harness. She loves our walks but we are working on leash reactivity to some dogs on our walks with positive reinforcement and treats.  Our goal is to have her focus on you not another dog.  She does not seem fazed by cars, bikes, etc.  We do have a pocket pittie about 45 lbs and they are doing well together and she also was very good and playful with a 5 month old puppy in the foster home.  We keep a regular schedule about potty routines but we have had no acccidents and she sleeps all night in a crate and it is totally dry every morning. She loves to be loved/petted and seems to enjoy being brushed also. She loves kids and people. She also loves cats and will try to play with them if they like her too. Sophie will bond with "her person" and be a Velcro dog to that person. Sophie will need a home with a secure fenced yard and feel she will be best as an only dog. Sophie is spayed and microchipped and UTD on vaccines and preventatives.  Her adoption fee is $50.00. If you are interested in adopting Sophie, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Meet Hal! Breed: Cocker Spaniel Estimated Age: 01/17/2024 Sex: Male (neutered) Weight: 20-25 lbs Up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations Things to Know About Hal: Rescued from Mississippi. Spent his entire life outside on a chain by a dog box before rescue. Hal has a bare spot on his hip from a past incident, but he’s fully healed; his hair just needs time to grow back. Absolutely loves people of all ages and sizes. Medium energy in the house- more active when people are up and moving, but low to no energy when sitting. Handsome boy with a friendly and spunky personality. Food obsessed - working on his dinner manners. Attentive and eager to please. Playful and fun-loving. Hal has a mischievious streak and may try to escape from the house if given an opportunity (such as an open door). Very fixated on small animals he has seen - including rabbits and mice. Currently working on crate training. Housetraining is in progress and will require consistent, patient reinforcement to establish a solid routine. Dog-friendly and gets along well with other dogs. Would do best in a home without cats. Searching for a loving and committed forever home to provide him with the care and love he deserves. Story
hi Godiva, this stunner is a 5-year-old Cocker Spaniel. She was surrendered to our care from a Lancaster breeder when they no longer wanted her. She is 26 lbs. Godiva came to us very overgrown and matted, but thankfully nothing a good groom couldn't fix. She is a sweet and gentle lady that allows us all handling without an issue. She has been friendly with all volunteers. She would need to meet any resident dogs. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She is also scheduled for dental evaluation and will receive it as the vet deems necessary. **If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Her adoption fee is $450.** Phoenix Animal Rescue Chester Springs, PA Kennel License #5152

Story
Meet Tanya and Trixie-2 very special bonded sisters, spaniel mixes. They are over five years old, and very sweet natured and pleasant. It takes him some time for them to warm up to people. They’re just very shy and are always extremely cautious when being approached by strangers, not in an aggressive way. They both do have allergies which have been being kept under control and are very good at being groomed. They love stuffy squeaky toys, and chewing on Nyla bones. They enjoy going for walks. They are a bonded pair and must go together. One is spayed. The other needs to be spayed prior to adoption. Adult household preferred.

Story
Mika is a sweet, affectionate 6 month old cocker spaniel. She loves to play and chase with my other dog. She also likes to play and chase with my cats, so only dog-wise cats recommended. Mika loves to cuddle and comes to her name. She shakes and tosses stuffies and catches them then does it all over again. Mika is crate trained, housebroken and sleeps through the night. It is not Mika’s fault I need to rehome her. I may be able to negotiate the adoption fee.

Story
Meet Sweetie! Sweetie is a 3 year old Cocker Spaniel mix who was saved from a commercial breeding facility in Lancaster County. She was given up because she was no longer profitable as a breeder mama. The puppy mill used and abused Sweetie until they couldn’t anymore and then reached out to us to take her off their hands. It’s a story as old as time when it comes to puppy mills, but we will always be there to help our beloved mill mamas. She has started to giving us her trust as well as all her love and gentleness. We are confident she will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands her past and gives her the time she needs to trust them. Our mill mamas are always extremely special, and we promise you there is no love out there that compares to theirs! She will require a family who understands her past, and is patient with her as she transition to living life in a home and around kind people. This should go without saying, but we require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY. Please apply to be considered at our website www.angelsretreat.org! 💕🐾 To learn more about our puppy mill survivor program go to the following link: https://angelsretreat.org/special-programs-for-special-dogs/mill-mamas/
