Story
Meet Lady   Lady was found as a stray in the GTA. She is a cocker spaniel mix. Although she has been aged at approximately 4 years old, she exhibits puppy energy and has a zest for life and adventure.  She has liked all the dogs she has met so far. She enjoys human attention and is affectionate and engaging,  Lady is food motivated and eager to learn and please.  She would do best in a home where the family or individual works from home or is retired.  She is spayed and weighs 25 pounds.    Lady loves to play with other dogs (and get be a bit much for an older dog) but doesn't seem to mind being told to move on and find another friend to play with.  She is currently living with 2 cats and another dog and is doing well but outside she chases squirrels and bunnies. She does not show any signs of guarding food or toys.     Unfortunately, Lady has had little to no training and needs someone to teach her the basics - as noted she is food motivated and an eager learner.  Housetraining is coming along well and she seems to have been pee pad trained as she will go reliably on pee pads. Her foster mom works and Lady is fine when left alone and is not destructive.  She may bark a bit initially but settles in.  When she hears a car in the driveway she will bark to let you know someone is here to visit.    Lady is learning to walk on a leash. She does get impatient when waiting for cars to pass on the road but just whines as she waits. She gets really excited when she sees other dogs as she wants to meet everybody. Currently goes for three walks a day.   She can be picked up easily and had no problems taking her eye medication and her pills while she was recovering from her surgery   She has asymptomatic Lyme which means she has been exposed to it at some point in her life but it has resolved    Overview:  She's an energic, playful girl who enjoys running in the snow, carrying her stuffed toys everywhere and sharing her unconditional love!     If you are interested in making Lady part of your family, here is the link to our adoption application: https://www.speakingofdogs.com/adoption/dog-adoption-application-2/   February 5, 2025, 9:16 am

Story
We got Oscar from a well known breeder in Northern Ontario. He is 4 years old and has been surrounded by love since the first day we had him. Oscar is very loving, he loves to be pet and needs attention. He has a lot of energy and love to play which makes him amazing with kids. He is an anxious dog tho and needs to be in a quiet environment as much as possible. He is trained to stay up to 8 hours home alone.

Story
Hello! My name is Bailey!I`m a fun little dude looking for a mature home that likes to go for walks and play with toys! I have allergies for which I am on a special diet and ongoing medication to manage. I do love my humans so much that I can get protective of them. My GHS friends tell me that I demonstrate good communication skills when I am feeling this way, so people understand that they need to give me space. I love training and tasty allergy-friendly treats. I pick up on new things quickly as I am a super smarty-pants. MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: No, I’m looking for a mature home.OTHER DOGS: No, I would prefer to be the only pet in the home.CATS: No, I`ve never been around cats, and given my struggles with sharing my humans, I would do best as the only pet in the home.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I’m looking for a home that has some dog experience. FENCED-IN YARD: Not required.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings as I can be reactive (bark and lunge) when dogs are too close to me.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium.I’M ON A PRESCRIPTION DIET: Yes, for allergies.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the `adopt me` button to apply!

Story
Emmy / Spayed Female / Cocker Spaniel / 30lbs / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Yes / Kids: 13+ 🌟 Meet the long-awaited Emmy! 🌟 Emmy is a 2-year-old Cocker Spaniel who came to us in the fall as a puppy mill discard. Since then, her amazing foster has helped her come out of her shell, and she’s finally ready to find her forever family. 💖 Emmy loves romping around outside and chasing her foster sisters around the yard. She’s a fan of hype-up talk and raw carrots as treats, and her ideal home is a quiet one with a comfy bed where she can feel safe and loved. 🌿 As a typical puppy mill rescue dog, Emmy is shy and nervous, but she is also smart, quiet, sweet —and 100% deserving of her own family. She’s great with both dogs and cats, though kids can be a bit too much for her. A calm, quiet home with another dog would be her perfect fit! 🐾 Emmy loves to receive pats and ear scratches when she feels comfortable—when you hype her up, her whole body wiggles with excitement and her tail starts wagging like crazy. She’s even started responding to her name and will come over for a pet and a butt scratch. She wants to come to you, but needs time and patience to trust. Emmy isn’t a fan of crates but has been fine being left in a room on her own. She would do best in a home with a fenced yard, as she’s still a little nervous on a leash. Walks are a work in progress, but she’s getting there with time. 🐕 If you think you can provide Emmy with the loving, patient home she needs, please fill out an application! We’d love to hear from you and help her find her happily ever after. 💕 Emmy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. She is being fostered in Queensville. 📍 Apply to adopt! https://forms.gle/WdK1s9LbjWx6MNig7
