Story
Clover (Buddy) is a gorgeous 2 1/2 year old Cocker Spaniel/Shi tzu mix who needs a new forever home! He also responds to the name “Buddy”.Clover just loves a nice long walk with a person he loves. He is a curious boy and enjoys sightseeing during his walks.Clover attaches quickly to one person and is fearful of those he doesn’t know. He has shown some protectiveness over his previous owner. We recommend he be the only pet in the home.Clover lights up when it’s time to play! He has a blast playing with his toys and can be protective of them as well. A potential adopter would need to visit several times in order to win his trust and get to know him. This pup has so much potential if given the time and patience that he needs. An adopter would need to commit to working with a trainer as needed to help him build his confidence and learn to trust others. Due to his special needs, we are only seeking a local adopter who lives in a single family home.Clover is neutered, microchipped, heart worm free, approximately 30 pounds, and up to date on all vaccines. If you’d like to meet this handsome boy, please email adopt@bobbicares.org to arrange a visit appointment. All of our adoptions are local only.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jake (TX) is a male Cocker Spaniel rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Jake is 8 months  old at the time of intake in November 2024. Jake is great with other dogs and everyone he meets. He was rescued with his brother Jim and is a bundle of love. Jake's foster mommy reports Jake is friendly but timid at first. He loves cats and ferrets and all size dogs. He is fond of children of all ages. He is mostly house broken. He is doing great with  learning how to leash walk. He sleeps in a bed at night. He is finding out toys are fun. He is an all weather pup!  He does love his treats so he is super smart with his training. Please consider this angel and apply online to adopt Jake (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org .  RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 18, 2025, 1:30 am

Story
Chase’s Story I’ve had Chase since he was just 8 weeks old, and he has been the sweetest boy in the world ever since. Born on October 31, 2023, in Pennsylvania, Chase is full of personality and even more energy! He loves to play, run around, and keep up with an active lifestyle. Chase also has a sensitive side—he experiences separation anxiety and thrives best in a home where he can receive lots of attention, love, and companionship. He adores cuddling and being held, always looking for warmth and comfort from his humans. I’m looking for a loving home that can provide Chase with the care, patience, and affection he deserves. If you’re searching for a loyal, affectionate, and energetic companion, Chase would be the perfect fit!

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to NJ for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Ivory Winter - a puppy so cute she looks like the drawing of a perfect puppy brought to life. Look at those sweet puppy dog eyes!!! Ivory Winter is Cocker Spaniel and Boston terrier mix. We are certain of her breed, as she was the result of an accidental litter and our rescue was able to meet her parents. She was born on October 2, 2024 so he is currently just about 8 weeks old and weighs 9 lbs. We anticipate her full grown rate to be about 20-25 lbs. In the meantime, while she waits to grow into her paws, she is focusing on doing what puppies do…playing, learning how to use a crate, a wee wee pad, leash training, etc. Ivory will need a family that is dedicated to his training and will be patient with all the challenges (and messes!) puppies bring. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and the perfect forever home for our dogs. We appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
