Story
Meet Fanny! Fanny is a 4 year old, 20 pound Merle Cocker Spaniel. Her super hero traits are cuddling and hanging out. Fanny is a super sweet girl, but she hasn't had the best start so she's a little timid and scared to start but is happy to be comforted. She will gladly hang out in her crate or bed if you want and doesn't bark at all. In fact, when she does talk it sounds like a telephone ringing - it's actually pretty hilarious. Fanny needs someone that can be patient and love her tons. Fanny doesn't have separation anxiety so if you have to go to the office she's just fine to wait for you to come back without issue. If you are looking for a sweet girl who is content to hang out, Fanny might be your girl! Fanny is currently being fostered in Manhattan. Her adoption fee is $600. Fanny is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Polina! Polina is a 4 year old, approximately 16-lb, Female, Cocker Spaniel, who has the sweetest, beautiful brown eyes waiting to sparkle with love. Her superpowers include sniffing her surroundings and relaxing in her own space. Polina will need a longer time to decompress to eventually come out her sweet shell. Traces of an inquisitive personality occasionally shine through her initial timidness. She is still unsure about walking in the city and loud noises, but with training, time, and patience, she will improve as she does potty outside. Still good idea to keep wee wee pads for her to use indoors. Polina will probably do best in a quiet home. She is dog friendly with a dog of calming temperament. She does not have separation anxiety and can be left in a designated area or crate. She does like the crate door open to relax outside the crate occasionally. If you have the patience, love, and time to help Polina open up, she will be the perfect addition to your home. Polina is currently being fostered in Brooklyn, NY. Her adoption fee is $600. Polina is a Patron Pup. Story
Malie is a 10 month old cocker spaniel and she is the runt of the bunch. She and her siblings came from a very sad situation and arrived dehydrated from living outside in the heat and matted in dirt. Luckily, her foster got them cleaned up and she says they have the softest hair! She loves her grandchildren and has been around her dogs and cats. Malie is very close with her sister Kaia and loves to be around other animals. They are working on house and crate training. They especially enjoy a game of fetch! They would love to go on walks and adventures with their chosen people. They bond quickly to people who treat them well!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Story
Clover (Buddy) is a gorgeous 2 1/2 year old Cocker Spaniel/Shi tzu mix who needs a new forever home! He also responds to the name “Buddy”.Clover just loves a nice long walk with a person he loves. He is a curious boy and enjoys sightseeing during his walks.Clover attaches quickly to one person and is fearful of those he doesn’t know. He has shown some protectiveness over his previous owner. We recommend he be the only pet in the home.Clover lights up when it’s time to play! He has a blast playing with his toys and can be protective of them as well. A potential adopter would need to visit several times in order to win his trust and get to know him. This pup has so much potential if given the time and patience that he needs. An adopter would need to commit to working with a trainer as needed to help him build his confidence and learn to trust others. Due to his special needs, we are only seeking a local adopter who lives in a single family home.Clover is neutered, microchipped, heart worm free, approximately 30 pounds, and up to date on all vaccines. If you’d like to meet this handsome boy, please email adopt@bobbicares.org to arrange a visit appointment. All of our adoptions are local only.
