MEET ZEUS: Age: 9 Years  Breed: Cocker Spaniel  Weight: 34 lbs   Meet Zeus, a charming 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel who is ready to find his forever home! Surrendered after his family welcomed a new baby, Zeus has been left longing for the attention and love he deserves. He’s a playful and affectionate companion who is looking for a family that can spoil him with cuddles and playtime. Zeus is house trained and crate trained, making him an excellent candidate for a family home. He gets along well with other dogs and has experience living with older, dog-savvy children who can appreciate his mature, yet playful nature. While he hasn't met any cats yet, his friendly demeanor suggests he would likely adjust well with proper introductions. Zeus knows basic commands such as *Sit* and *Stay*, and he enjoys playing with toys, especially when it comes to fetch. Playful and craving affection, he will bring joy to your home. He does tend to pull a bit on the leash during walks, so some additional training may be helpful. It’s worth noting that he is not suited for tethered containment, as he craves companionship and interaction. Zeus is looking for a loving family that can provide him with ample attention and care. He thrives on affection and will reward you with his loyal companionship in return. Whether it's playing fetch in the backyard or snuggling on the couch, Zeus would be thrilled to be a part of your family activities. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a sweet, playful dog that will shower you with love, Zeus is the perfect match for you!  Zeus is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedScheduled to be neutered at our partner Veterinary office. ADOPTION FEE: $350 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. MEET : Snickerdoodle DOB: 10/09/2024  BREED: Cocker Spaniel mix GENDER: Male WEIGHT AS OF 12/26: 13lbs 5ozs COLOR: Black/Tan/White Snickerdoodle, his 6 siblings(4 males and 3 females), and Momma(Oreo-cocker spaniel) were surrendered to the rescue because family weren't able to care for them. Daddy of this litter is unknown. Snickerdoodle is a lovable puppy who is on his journey to becoming a well-mannered companion. He is still perfecting his house training skills but has shown excellent progress and is eager to learn. With a little patience and guidance, he will surely master it in no time! Because Snickerdoodle is still in the mouthy stage, he would thrive in a home with dog-savvy older children who can engage with him in fun and positive ways while teaching him proper puppy manners. He has been around cats and other dogs, but would likely do best with dogs that are tolerant of his youthful puppy energy.  He has not yet begun leash training but is working on crate training. Puppies are prone to chewing and will need a watchful eye to ensure that nothing is accidentally ingested or destroyed. Snickerdoodle will need someone home more often than not, initially for house training and continued socialization. He is looking for an active families and plenty of positive reinforcement. Adopters should be prepared for sleepless nights during crate training. Snickerdoodle would do best in an active home where he can continue to learn and grow. He appreciates routine and structure, which will help him thrive as he progresses through his training. His vibrant personality and willingness to please will make him a cherished member of the family. Tethering is not an ideal method for containment for these puppies. Snickerdoodle will go home in foster-to-adopt status with his new family until his neuter surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clinton Twp, Sterling Heights, Clawson, or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable. Snickerdoodle is:Current on age appropriate vaccinesDewormedReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedWill be scheduled for neuter at 6 months of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices, Clinton Township, Clawson, Rochester, or Chesterfield (included in the adoption fee).ADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. Story
Rocky is a sweet boy who loves to play with everyone and loves to cuddle on someone during all his naps. He is unique as he is a cocker spaniel/ Chinese Shar-Pei mix. He will grow midsize between 40-60 pounds. The Chinese shar- pei gives him the watch dog personality and the cocker spaniel gives him the cute look and smarts. This dog is amazing but unfortunately we are in a situation that makes it challenging to give full attention to this dog, especially during potty training. His beautiful brown silk coating is perfect to warm you up during the holidays and could be home in time for a Christmas surprise. I am committed to finding him a loving , responsible home for him and will only consider inquiries from people who can provide a safe and supportive environment.

Story
Penny is a 19 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.  November 4, 2024, 9:17 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Ramsey!  I'm a mighty handsome 7 1/2 year old purebred orange/white brittany weighing about 42 pounds. I recently found myself in need of a new home when my mom passed away. She's had me my whole life, so things look a little bit different now. Can you help me find my way to my new home? I've got a heart full of sweetness and a mind that's as sharp as a tack. I've got energy to burn and a playful spirit that can't be tamed. I'm a bit of a lone wolf and have always been an only dog. I don't mind companionship, but usually just want to do my own thing. I do make sure to check in with my humans and like to sit with them on the couch.  The great outdoors is my playground and water? Oh boy, do I love a good splash!  I even like baths! I'm also pretty keen on anything that moves. I'm told I have a great looking point.  I'm also told I have some quirks, but who doesn't right?  You see, my mom used a laser pointer to play with me when I was young, so now I hunt and chase shadows and moving light.  I'm a real smart cookie and know sit, stay, back, shake/paw, leave it and no. I'm looking for someone who can keep up with my energetic lifestyle, who has a physically fenced yard that I can run and play in, and a pool or watering hole of some kind would be a bonus!  My favorite place to be is outside and I love chewing on sticks and chasing after a ball. I'm also good with kids.  I'm housebroken and crate trained, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. I'm overall a well-mannered gentleman.  If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent and independent companion, please consider opening your heart and home to me! You can submit an adoption application to www.nbran.org and mention my name! I am currently located in eastern NC and can be transported up to 1400 miles, with the adopter driving the last 100 or so miles.  My adoption fee is $350 to help cover my vetting and help NBRAN continue to rescue pups like me!  For any further questions, please email jessica@thesouthernway.comDecember 10, 2024, 12:19 pm

Story
Meet Fin, a 10 month old orange & white Brittany mix. Fin has the French Brittany black nose, with a short snout & long legs. Did I mention the cutest & fluffiest long tail! Fin was found abandoned out on the streets with his mother. They were saved and NBRAN was called. They sure are lucky! Fin loves everyone he meets & loves his foster brother, who is another Brittany. Fin is very kind, friendly, sweet and gentle, never playing too hard or rough. He is a bit nervous of new environments and noises at first, but bounces back quickly and loves learning. Fin is dog & child friendly but because he is still young & jumps, older kids would be best. He has done great with a 5 year old.  He hasn't met a cat, so unsure how he would do with one. Fin is crate trained and actually goes in without asking when he sees treats or his food come out. Fin also waits to be released from his crate with the “ok” cue. He is potty trained & can go about 6 hours now without needing a break. Fin knows sit and is working on walking nicely on the leash. He is just a puppy and will need continued training to still learn his manners. He is so sweet and silly and he is always making everyone laugh. Fin is healthy, neutered & up to date on all vaccinations & weighs about 32lbs. If you think he’s your perfect forever boy, please submit an adoption application at www.nbran.org and mention his name. He’s currently located in NC and can be transported up to 1400 miles, with the adopter driving the last 100 or so miles.  The adoption fee is $350 to help cover his vetting and to help NBRAN continue to rescue pups like him!  For any further questions, please email kecarr72@icloud.com or  jessica@thesouthernway.comDecember 29, 2024, 12:19 pm
