Story
Leo is a 4 year old, 40 pound, Spaniel mix. He has been with us since 10 weeks old and we love him but he has been reactive towards children so our home is not the right place for him. He is adorable, loving, and a sensitive soul who unfortunately has some anxiety and reactivity issues. He is ball-obsessed, loves walks, swimming, laying in the sun, and being close to his people. He is crate trained, housetrained, never steals food, great in the car, doesn't bark much, he is not destructive and can be left alone. He knows commands and is very healthy. He does not have consistent recall and can be reactive to other dogs so needs to stay on-leash. He is an amazing dog and we will take the time to find him the right home. More information available on request including recent behaviorist write-up. Leo needs a home with: -No kids -No cats -Possibly other dogs if they get along -Fenced yard where he can chase a ball -Consistent routine -Time for exercise and training

Story
Meet Blondie! Blondie is approximately 8 years old, 27 lbs currently, and she likely has some Cocker Spaniel in her mix! She was surrendered from a breeder. In her foster home, she is doing great with her house-training, crate training, and leash walking. She could go to a quiet home with older kids, cats, and other calm dogs. Her foster says, `Blondie is super sweet and loving!! She loves to be with you on the couch and makes a great snuggle buddy! She loves to be petted all the time! She has her own room with a dog bed and blanket and toys in it and she can go in and out as she wants. There is a pet gate in the room so the other dogs won’t bother her. She sleeps at night in her room and does well. She also stays in there while I’m at work. I only do this because of the other dogs. She is potty trained and has had no accidents since she’s been here. She tolerates the other dogs but does not play with them. They are all younger and too active for her liking. She needs a quiet home where she is the only dog or maybe another senior dog to pal around with. She would do well in an apartment or house setting. She doesn’t bark very often either. She will make a great addition to a quiet home!!! She will be missed very much!`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on March 14th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
This beautiful pure bred Cocker Spaniel puppy is called Charlie Cruise and he is 5 months old and weighs 22 pounds.  This boy met with a sad fate of losing his home because his owners had a life change in the family and had to give him up while they moved out of state and could not take any pets. This boy with the gorgeous green/yellow eyes and the delicious freckles that are sprinkled all across his face, is full of fun energy and puppy playfulness.   He is wonderful with other dogs and cats and has lived with young children.  We will require a fenced yard and no long days crated while family is out of the home working.  Something reasonable is fine but no long 9 hours days Monday – Friday please.  The Cocker Spaniel breed has its own special and wonderful traits that you must be aware of.  They are very adaptable as a breed of dog and Charlie has proven that he is certainly able to go with the flow.  This breed of dog is easy to train and great with children.  He has already proven that also.  This boy will need regular grooming so as to not develop matted fur.  Weekly brushing will help avoid fur issues like this.  This breed can exist in apartment settings as long as they are not barkers.   Charlie doesn’t seem to be a barker more than normal for a dog.  Cocker Spaniels are very sensitive and emotionally tender dogs.  Sometimes they can develop separation anxiety if there are too many changes in their lifestyle and Charlie has had a bit of that lately.  We see nothing of this but we do want to caution anyone adopting to watch carefully for an attachment issue if you leave him too often and for long periods of time.  Ears are key in making sure they are clean and not getting little infections.  Just watch carefully for that.  His cuteness quota is off the charts obviously and he is going to be a handsome and loving addition to the right family.  We are searching for that right now!  If you feel like you would like to submit an application to adopt please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   This boy is in Nashville, TN and we transport northward every weekend.  We have 6 major transport stops on our journey northward to the northeast.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 8, 2025, 6:35 pm
