Violet (black) and Lola (white & black) are a dynamic duo and despite the small age difference, they are bonded and go together like two peas in a pod. Both girls are seniors and with Violet being sight impaired, she will require ongoing medical care to keep her in the best health possible as she enters her senior years. Violet is on a long-term prescription eye medication that helps her feel better despite losing some of her sight already. They are both potty trained and crate trained but only if they get to share a singular kennel. Despite her old age and sight issues, Violet is the trouble maker of the two. She hates cars and seems to easily make her way towards the smell of food, which seems to be much easier to find than the kennel door. Lola, being slightly younger, loves to learn and is eager to please. She already knows how to speak, sit, lay down, heel, and fetch! Individually, Violet and Lola may seem like two very different dogs, but they love each other and have learned to guide one another through the ways of their new lives. Both girls LOVE toys and nothing is quite like sitting on the couch surrounded by all your favorite stuffed animals and balls. Violet and Lola's adoption fee is $400 and includes their spay, microchips, current vaccinations, prevention, as well as a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires all animals to be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a background and reference check, a vet history check, and a home visit. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Violet and Lola, please submit an adoption application for consideration on our website, www.adopthope.org.
