If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Sage is a 6 month old male Cockalier who weighs in at under 20 pounds pounds. This dog's adoption fee is $950. If you are still interested, please read more below. I'm a playful and energetic little pup who is looking for my forever home. I was rescued from an irresponsible breeder, and I've been flourishing in my foster home with my sibling, Butters. We’re a dynamic duo that loves to cuddle and play together! We would absolutely love to be adopted together!!! A Little About Me: Playful & Energetic: I love to run around in my fenced-in yard with my foster parents, and I absolutely adore exercise! Learning New Skills: I'm currently learning how to walk on a leash, and I’m eager to become a well-mannered pup. Also, I'm possibly the runt of the litter, eating alone would be best for me, since my brother pushes me out of the way, he is also learning how to share. Cuddle Bug: After a good play session, nothing makes me happier than curling up with my brother or my humans for some quality snuggle time. Potty Training: I’m currently in the process of being potty trained, so having potty pads at home is a must while I’m learning! What I Need: I would thrive in an environment with a family that has patience and is willing to spend time helping me learn and grow. It would be great if you have experience with Cocker Spaniels and/or Cavaliers as I think it would help us bond even more. I'm doing well with my crate training, but I have a little bit of separation anxiety. I prefer to sleep where I can see my human and feel secure. I don’t like being alone for too long. Important Note: In my foster home, I’ve been exposed to cats for the first time, and I sometimes chase them as if they were squirrels! Until I’m a bit older and more settled, a home without cats would be best for me. My Ideal Home: A loving family who will dedicate time to play, cuddle, and help me with my potty training. Experience with my breed is a plus! A safe and secure yard for lots of fun outdoor adventures - ideally with my brother, or another dog who would be my companion! Understanding of my need for companionship and a gradual approach to separation. If you think I might be a good fit for your family, please reach out! I can’t wait to find my forever home filled with love, laughter, and maybe a few squirrel-like adventures. ❤️ This pup is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and neutered. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.
