Story
All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays and will not be processing any applications on that day. Do get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). Counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart: Park in the PetSmart Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. PCH supports a 21-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we are not able to provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Please contact Marie for more information about this pet.Gunner is a 5-month-old Brittany who loves playing with his sister Sophie. He and his sister, Sophie, were surrendered together and are being fostered together in Wisconsin. Gunner and Sophie do not need to be adopted together. Gunner loves all of his toys including squeakies, tug rope, balls and bones.  He loves treats and ice cubes which help tremendously for learning commands. He knows how to sit and lay, but is still working on come, shake, not jumping on people and overall manners.  He tugs pretty hard on the leash as there is just so much to explore.  Because he gets overly excited, Gunner jumps on people, but his foster mom is working with him.  Because of his jumping, Gunner will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  He will need continued training on all commands and manners as this is a work in progress.  Gunner loves cuddling with people, especially on the couch and bed.  He is a good rider in the car, pontoon boat and UTV.  He is very vocal and loves to bark to let you know what he wants. HI! I'm Gunner and would love a forever home. I am very loving and easy going, and would love to be your buddy!  My foster Mom calls me her Velcro dog.  I am always at her feet or on her lap, she can’t leave the room without me at her heels, I just like to be very close to my humans.  I give the best hugs to my foster Mom, especially when she lets me sleep in her bed!  I don’t sleep through the night, especially when I am in my kennel, so my foster parents let me sleep in bed with them.  My foster Mom brings me regularly to the doggie park so I can run off leash.  Oh, and did I mention what my favorite toy is?  I absolutely love my balls!  I will play fetch and bring the ball back most of the time, also if you don’t have time to play fetch with me, I will bat the ball around and entertain myself with it.  I am very smart and quickly learning my commands, I will also test you to see what I can get away with. Gunner will need daily exercise with his new family as well as lots of love and attention. He will need a lot of different types of toys to keep him entertained.  Gunner would be most happy in a home that has somebody with him most of the time as he is very attached to his humans and doesn’t like it when he is not with you.  He’s been checked from nose to tail and is up to date on all his vaccines, heartworm negative, micro-chipped and on preventative.  Now all that’s missing is his Furever Home!  If you are interested in making WI/Gunner  part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org.
