Story
Meet Agnes, a gentle Cocker Spaniel-Miniature Poodle mix with a calm, introverted spirit and a heart that’s slowly warming up to human companionship. Weighing in at 20 pounds, Agnes is shy at first but is beginning to learn that pets and gentle touches can be comforting. She’s happy to receive attention on her terms, backing away when she’s had enough, though with time and patience, she’ll come to enjoy affectionate moments more and more.Agnes gets along well with other dogs, especially those who match her calm, easygoing energy. High-energy friends can sometimes feel overwhelming for her, so she would do best with a fellow quiet companion. She’ll also need a confident dog in her new home to guide her and help her grow into the self-assured pup she’s meant to be.Though she’s still learning to walk on a leash, Agnes finds comfort in being held like a baby on a familiar lap, especially when she feels safe. She can be a little skittish around men, but with patience and love, she’ll surely come to trust. Agnes is looking for a home that can give her the space and time to blossom into her true, sweet self—a forever friend ready to share her gentle spirit.- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogBiography Important Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Chelsea, and I am a beautiful Cocker Spaniel who was born 2/15/23 and I weigh 20 pounds. I am super sweet, get along with people and other dogs. If you have been waiting for a gorgeous, sweet Cocker, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Love, Chelsea 072024-50  November 5, 2024, 9:56 pm
