Story
Meet Snoopy. Snoopy came to us when his family surrendered him, so he could receive the attention and love he deserves. Snoopy's foster mom reports that he is a wonderful boy, who has a charming disposition and has adjusted well to his foster home. He has a a lot of energy and loves to play ball or with any toy. He is a great retriever. Snoopy is potty trained, uses a doggy door, gets along with other dogs, when introduced properly, greets people gently and is very friendly. Snoopy sleeps though the night, does well when left alone, loves to go on walks, which he needs a couple times a day to expend his puppy energy. Snoopy rides well in the car, does not bark, enjoys being petted and doesn't mind baths or being brushed. Snoopy is a chow hound and will counter surf, if you aren't watching. He does fairly well on leash, but needs a bit of training. He knows sit, shake and down. He is a typical cocker and will be your velcro dog. He will love his person, unconditionally. Snoopy would not do well in an apartment or condo. He needs a secure yard and someone that can be home with him the majority of the time. Snoopy has been to the vet and has a clean bill of health. If you have a lot of love and energy to share with a love bug, Snoopy is the dog for you. He will cuddle up on the sofa with you, but while not cuddling, he will be bringing you toys to throw or just hang out with you. Story
Meet Dunkin. Dunkin joined the NorCal family and already has the prize for being the highest jumper we have seen. He will easily jump a 3 ft. baby gate and grab whatever he sets his sights on, on a table or counter. Dunkin has a significant amount of separation anxiety and needs to be with his people. He also needs to be in a home with another dog to help him feel more confident. Once Dunkin is at your side, he turns into a mellow boy, who will sit for hours and look quietly out the window. Dunkin was found by a Good Samaritan in a park in Fairfield. She brought him home and spend hours cleaning him up, giving him a bath and cutting off long dreadlocks, mats and stickers. He was covered in fleas. Dunkin has a sweet, loving disposition. He is a really good boy, rides well in the car, gets along with other dogs and needs a good size, very secure yard to run, explore and play fetch. But, primarily he needs to be in a home with someone that is home the majority of the time. Dunkin has been to the Vet and has a clean bill of health. If you are interested in Dunkin, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.

Story
Meet Philbert. The first thing you will notice about Philbert is his before and after grooming pictures. Doesn't he look handsome. :-) Philbert was found as a stray in the streets of Sacramento. He was covered in mats and dirt. As alwqys, when a dog is found as a stray, we have no idea how old they are, so we are guessing Philbert is about 9-10 years old. He is a sweet, affectionate, mellow boy. In typical cocker style, he is in his happy place when he is close to his person. Philbert gets along with other dogs, is a good car rider, potty trained, easy to handle and would love to go on walks with you. Philbert would not do well in an apt or condo. He needs a decent size yard to explore. He also needs to be with someone that can be home with him the majority of the time. Philbert has a clean bill of health, other than the typical cocker ear and skin infections, due to poor care and neglect. He will be good as new before we know it. Philbert is overweight, so exercise will do him a world of good. If you are interested in Philbert, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.

Story
Meet Walker. Walker is a tiny, bundle of love and kisses. You will fall in love with his pure sweetness. Then, when you hear how we rescued Walker, you will love in all over again. Walker was rescued from a dreadful hoarding home and taken to the Auburn shelter. He was emaciated and the shelter was unable to neuter and clean his teeth until they were sure he was strong enough to be put under anesthesia. Walker was the last to be picked up and brought into the safety of a loving foster home. Walkers resilience and ability to trust humans is amazing. He will give you all the affection you could ever ask for. Walker is a happy, energetic, active little boy. He rides well in the car, would love to go on walks with you and gets along with everyone, human and canine alike. We have no ideas how old Walker is so we are guessing he is about 9-10. It's difficult to guess when a dog has been neglected. Probably due to being stuck in a cage, a good part of his life, we are still working on his potty training. Walker has been to the Vet and it is believed that due to being undernourished he is anemic and his blood work will need to be rechecked in a few weeks, after he has been provided with some good food, antibiotics and lots of TLC. This precious boy deserves a new second chance at a good life in a loving home. If you are interested in Walker, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.
