Story
We adopted Oreo when he was just nine weeks old from a private seller, not far from our home. He is now 1 year and 3 months old, and we’re seeking a loving new home for him, preferably with a family that has kids and a backyard. Oreo has grown up with our two boys, aged 6 and 4, and has been a wonderful companion. He’s an energetic and playful dog, which is typical for his breed, and loves to stay active. Oreo is incredibly smart, affectionate, and full of personality—always entertaining and eager to learn. He enjoys being challenged, loves playtime, and thrives when given training and mental stimulation. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who can keep up with an active household, Oreo could be the perfect fit!

Story
Penny is a sweet and loving dog who just needs the right home! Meet Penny: Your Future Cuddle Buddy! Penny is a delightful 7-8 year old 50 % Cocker Spaniel, who is ready to find her forever home! (Her DNA is included) She is housebroken and spayed, and she enjoys the convenience of a doggy door. Penny does well in a crate, making her a great companion for those who need to manage her space at times. While she adores being around her humans and loves to cuddle, Penny prefers to be the only dog in the household. She can be jealous of other dogs, so she would flourish in a home where she can be the center of attention! Unfortunately, she doesn't do well with small children, particularly toddlers, so a quiet adult home or one with older children (teens) would be ideal. Penny is affectionate and needy in the best way, always ready for a snuggle session. She’s also a bit of a food thief—watch out for your sandwiches, as she might swipe them if they’re within reach! On the brighter side, she loves to go for rides and walks, making her the perfect adventure buddy. Her coat is incredibly soft, and she'll surely bring warmth and love to your life. We are very sad to be rehoming her, but we know that she will make someone very happy! If you’re looking for a sweet companion who thrives on attention and affection. We have a Facebook page and hope that you will “Like” us at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561870361467 see postings of some of our dogs. Penny could be the perfect match for you. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Meet our newest friends, Blake and Toby. Blake is the buff and white boy, and Toby is the black and white boy. Both boys are on the larger size for cockers (over 40 pounds) and are currently living in Washington State. Sadly, their original owner could no longer take care of them and handed them off to a relative who is already overwhelmed with her own personal 5 dogs and does not have her own house until after the first of the year. They are very sweet boys, but they have not been socialized with other dogs, so the situation is tough.  The boys are spending a lot of time in crates just to keep the peace. This is not good for them and the kind hearted lady who is taking care of them knows that. She wants them to have a good life. They have common issues, cherry eye, dry eye, cocker ears and skin allergies. She is willing to help out with medical expenses but needs to get them out of her temporary home and into a foster or adoptive home. We think it would be ok to separate them as some of the behavior may tone down if they are separated (litter-mate syndrome).  Both boys are 6 years old, neutered and housebroken. It would be best for them to go to a home with no other pets until they can be socialized properly. Blake is initially more shy than Toby, and Toby is more active.  If you can foster or adopt one or both, we want to hear from you!   ##2138702##
