Story
A couple of weeks ago we took in several Cocker Spaniels/Cock-a-poos who had been used for breeding. They are now retired and ready to live the good life as a family pet. Xena is one of these beautiful girls. Xena is the sweetest 10 year old lady! Despite her previous living situation, she has taken to living in a home quite well. She absolutely loves getting petted and receiving attention. She has great manners and will walk to the door when she needs to go out. As you can see, Xena is a bit overweight, so she will need an active adopter. Someone who can walk her daily and encourage regular exercise. For a dog that has probably never been on a leash, she does very well. She loves going for walks and checking out the scenery. If she feels you walking too slow for her, she does give a little tug to speed up. She is currently around dogs of all sizes and does very well. She does prefer that male dogs give her space sometimes. She doesn't overreact, but she does let them know. She does great around kids as well. Xena will go in a crate but doesn't really need one. She has been spayed, micro-chipped and is up to date on vaccinations. She did test positive for heartworms so we have started her on medication. She can continue the medication in her new home which is covered by Homes Fur Hounds. Story
Thelma and Louise were both surrendered to the rescue by a breeder who decided to retire, yaaay! They were born December 4, 2023 so they are still puppies. Both are healthy and in very good condition. They are spayed, vaccinated, heart worm negative and microchipped. Choodles, Chipoos, whatever you want to call them, they are cute as a button! They will be read for transport on November 2nd. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOV=CATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $750

Story
My name is Winston and I am a 6-year-old male poodle mix that is only 12 to 14 lb of pure love. My family has had a sudden and tragic break up and my mom had to go live with her sister and I could not come with her. She had big dogs that might hurt me and Critter Cavalry has helped me and her by offering to find me a good home. I have lived with young children and I love them. I am good with other dogs as long as they don't try to overpower me and scare me. I love to go for car rides and I love to sit in your lap and have you tell me how much you love me. I am a little nervous right now because I don't know what is going on with all the anger that has been around me. I am ready for a peaceful and loving family to adopt me. I am housebroken and I have been good around the foster mom's other big dogs and cats. Everyone has been so nice to me and I'm ready to be nice and loving back in a new home. I walk great on a leash except I do pull a little bit. You see, my former mom didn't take me for walks very much but I sure hope someone will do that in the future when I go live with them. I am ready for a fresh start where there's no angry voices but only kindness. Story
  My name is Charo and I am a senior girl poodle that is 12-13  years old and I weigh approximately 16 lb. My beloved senior mom is very ill and she is having to give up her precious little girls and Critter Cavalry Rescue is helping us find new homes.  As you can see in these pictures that were just made, I'm a little scared and really don't know what has just happened in my life. Critter Cavalry is reassuring me every minute of the day, that they will do great things for me. They have promised that they find me a wonderful family or person to love me for many years to come. I may be a senior, but I don't act like it. I don't have an ounce of arthritis and I am perky and spunky and would love to go for walks with you every day and snuggle with you. I haven't been on a leash a whole lot, but I know I would love getting out and seeing the world from the sidewalk with a new mom. I am healthy and I am spayed and I am microchipped and I have had blood work done. I look terrific on paper and I look even better in person. I am good with other dogs and cats and I'm a little shy with people at first but I haven't really gotten out a lot in my life. I've just been with my mom and my sisters.
