Story
This absolute sweetheart, with the biggest soulful eyes, is Quincy!
He came to our rescue about two months ago in horrific condition. He had been living on the streets for at least a year in a really bad area of Dallas. He was missing a lot of his hair, was covered in fleas, had some broken teeth, was severely emaciated and later at the vets, we found out that he had two pareneil hernias and was strong heartworm positive.
Quincy has done so well! He had his hernia repair surgery, had his heartworm treatment, has gained 4 lbs. and all of his fur is growing back in so nicely.
Despite his rough life, he adjusted quickly to his foster home and loves being a part of a loving family. He loves wandering around the yard and is the best squirrel chaser!
He’s very attached to his foster mom and doesn’t get too far from her.
Quincy does well with all of the other pups in his foster home but doesn’t really play with them.
His perfect furever home would be someone who would take him on nice walks, snuggle on the sofa and chill out on the patio with him.
Quincy is 5 years old and weighs 20 lbs. Quincy looks like a miniature golden retriever, but we think he’s a Cocker Spaniel, maybe Dachsund mix (best guess).
If you think Quincy would be a perfect addition to your family, please submit an application!
