O-m-gee would you take a look at this little cutie pie? Koda has been a very brave little girl during her transition to foster and has settled in nicely .
Koda may or may not be needy - she insists she is just “wanty”. ♥ This little girl loves to be her persons shadow. Need a shower? She’ll make sure to keep the rug warm for when you finish. Cooking in the kitchen? Watch your step - she’s the perfect kitchen assistant - ready to clean up all evidence of your culinary artistry. Settling in for a movie? She’ll keep you warm - as close as possible please. Her name, Koda, means “friend or companion” and she will be steadfast and devoted to you.
Koda doesn’t need to have a fenced in yard, but boy does she love to run (with her person watching her of course!) She walks nicely on a leash - eager to go and always checking in. Her world has been somewhat small - so loud, unexpected noises and passerby’s that are overly eager to meet her make her nervous at this time. City living would be overwhelming for her, but a quiet neighborhood to build confidence in would be a perfect fit.
Koda rides nicely in the car, though enjoys being nosy and peering out the window by standing up, so she’d love a home that comes with a car booster seat for her travels.
This little girl is not overly confident and compensates for her lack of confidence by depending on her person. She is in foster with several larger dogs and while she is coexisting nicely with them, she would rather have her person than find companionship or comfort in another dog.
While Koda will allow you to pick her up, she would prefer to keep all paws on the ground. Taking flight makes her nervous and she’s not interested in applying to be the next airline stewardess.
Koda has always lived with children, however we feel it would be in her best interest to be adopted into a calm household with older, respectful children. If you are the partying type, Koda will likely need a quiet, safe area to relax in until the festivities are over.
Koda is new to the world of professional grooming and will need a patient groomer to win her over and make each experience a positive one. For the type of coat she has, she should be groomed every 6-8 weeks with plenty of brushing in between. She’s a peanut butter aficionado, so a little pb mixed with patience will do the trick.
She aces the affectionate category with flying colors and will love you with her entire heart. She is small but mighty with a heart larger than her little 13.8lb body - she is sure to be the center of an adopters universe.
