Story
Meet Kenny, a 12-year-old Cockapoo with a heart as big as his sweet, soulful eyes. This gentle senior is friendly with people, kids, and other dogs, and he thrives in a calm, loving environment. Kenny would be happiest with a human (or humans) who are retired or work from home, so he can enjoy plenty of companionship and affection. Kenny has a heart murmur that we’re monitoring closely, and due to his age and condition, we may opt to leave him unneutered for his health. But don’t let his health concerns deter you- Kenny is full of love and ready to melt your heart. One look into his little old man face, and you’ll fall head over heels for this lost soul who’s searching for his forever home. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion to share your days with, Kenny is ready to be your best friend. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Meet Josh... What a sweet Special Needs Boy... Josh and some siblings were pulled from a Iowa puppy mill. When we heard that this litter of pups are the product of double merle parents were knew we had to step in to save them. 3 pups from this litter are considered special needs - Josh being one of them. Josh is a 11 week old male Cockapoo. Thats a mix of Cocker Spaniel and Mini Poodle. Josh is considered low shedding. Some people with allergies may still be affected by this cross. We estimate his full growth weight to be around 20 - 30 pounds. Josh will be seen by our vet to confirm his sight impairment. Josh is white with a merle coat coloring. His eyes are bright blue - typical look for a sight impairment pup. We know he can see, which just don't know how clear his sight is and if it will progressively get worse. All potential adopters should be aware of this, and have the ability to financially care for his medical needs. Josh is extremely friendly and social. He gets along great with the other pups and adult dogs in the home. He will probably exceed in a home with another dog to help guide him. Let's get this boy adopted. He didn't deserve being incorrectly bred with merle parents. Being fostered in Stony Point NY Using a wee wee pad for potty training Send an email to Onepawatatimerescue@gmail.com and request an application *** Thats the only way to get an application Adoption fee $350 We adopt in the Tri State Area ONLY NY, NJ, PA, CT, DE, MA, DC, MD, VT, RI, NH

Story
Look. At. That. Face!!!😍 Introducing Gordy! One of 4 scared little scruffy mixed surrendered when overbreeding led to too many dogs in the household, this 1 year old looks like a mini golden doodle puppy almost but with more wiry terrier hair. He’s nervous at first and needs a little time to warm up to new people and situations but is sweet and playful. He loves other dogs and is much more confident around them so definitely needs another dog in the household to help him adjust. Gordy is 16lbs full grown, has been neutered and updated on shots and is ready for a home. He is lower shedding but does not have a non-shedding hypoallergenic coat Email njwoof@cs.com to bring your dog to meet Gordy in Northern NJ Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Submit an application from our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com to speed up the adoption process and email any questions to us at njwoof@cs.com. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.

These pups are in Chestnut Ridge, New York too!

Story
Meet Reggie, a Miniature Poodle who was dumped on the streets to fend for himself. He was so scared to approach people that we had to trap him. His coat was so mangled and covered with cling ons that we had to shave him down completely and there was a beautiful dog under there! (before pics available on request) He's a sweet little boy but gets very nervous when strangers come in the house. He is best to be with an older couple and no small children in the house. He's very snuggly and lovable, just doesn't like a lot of commotion. Our vet estimated him to be around 4 -5 years. We had his teeth cleaned and polished as he had the beginning of tartar build up, more than likely due to a poor diet. He is neutered, heart worm negative, vaccinated, crate trained and microchipped. Reggie is more than ready for his forever home, could that be you? Reggie is ready for immediate transport PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE: $600

Story
Hi my name is Georgie.  I am a fabulous little miniature poodle who is 7 years old and I weigh 17 lbs.  I am an awesome little guy who is so very sad.  Today is the Sunday after Valentine's Day.  I spent Valentine's Day with my beloved mom and now I am in a strange home with 'other' dogs.  I miss my mom so much.  Her daughter told me that I was going to a loving foster home because my mom could no longer take proper care of me.  She was right but that did not help.  My foster mom is very nice and I know that I am safe and loved but....  It would be best for me to go ahead and find my forever home so that I do not have settle in twice.  I am a very sweet guy who loves adult people.  I would love to find a couple in their 50s or early 60s with no other dogs who would make me the center of their universe.  I am not being picky (well yes I am).  I don't ever want to go through the loss of my human again.  I am used to living with a woman but I also REALLY love men.  I know lots of tricks and would love to show you how smart I am.  I can shake hands,  high five, lie down, roll over and stand up and dance.  I am a little ham at heart.  I am paper trained but will do my business when you take me outside.  I do prefer that you go with me and would love a fence in yard of some sort.  I have no real health issues but I am allergic to chicken and a bit picky about what I eat.  I also have itchy skin but think that is because my mom bathed me too much.  I prefer going to the groomer and do need to go frequently.  I do need a new family that can afford to take care of me.  After all I think I am a prince.  I know how to walk on a leash but my favorite thing is to ride in my carriage.  (It is actually a stroller but I prefer carriage.)  I hope you have cried and then laughed at what I have had to say and that you are now ready to apply to be my true forever family.  I have been neutered and am current on all my shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  To be considered for my forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (I am currently in Tennessee but can be transported to my forever family upon adoption.)February 23, 2025, 9:42 pm

Story
This handsome Miniature Poodle boy is called Wrigley and he is a young 3 year old, 14 pound sweetheart looking for a home.  His life started off with a breeder and he was purchased as a Christmas gift for young children who soon grew tired of the novelty puppy.  They were supposed to take care of him and the parents were not willing to pick up the slack for his care.  The solution was to put this poor 14 pound boy outside on a tie out in the cold elements of Winter.  A neighbor grew so concerned about him and asked if they would give him up to a rescue.  They fortunately agreed and soon this handsome Poodle was in the right hands that could change his life.  He needed to be neutered and it has been done with all other vetting.  Wrigley is a happy boy despite the lack of love and past care.  He seems to have been unfazed that he spent time alone outside and not receiving the real love and snuggles that he so freely gives now to his foster mom.  He is back to working on being housebroken due to the tie-out time he spent outside but is crate trained and we have groomed him just before neutering him.  He has a whole new life ahead of him and we have polished him up to look as dapper as he could before leaving for a new forever home. If you have been looking for a young Poodle to rescue and love then this is a rare opportunity to get a fully vetted boy with no hidden issues or fears.  He is fine with other dogs, cats and gets along great with everyone he meets. Wrigley was wonderful to the children in the first home even though they did not appreciate him. This treasure is just waiting for a miracle family to love him.  Could that be you?  He is in Tennessee and we transport northward almost every weekend.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 23, 2025, 9:42 pm
