Story
Leo is a very sweet dog. A bit anxious and wouldn’t do well with small kids (hence this adoption). He does well with some dogs but not so well with larger ones. He is okay with the cat we own so he should be okay with cats. He is very special and deserves a very special home.

Story
Look. At. That. Face!!!😍 Introducing Gordy! One of 4 scared little scruffy mixed surrendered when overbreeding led to too many dogs in the household, this 1 year old looks like a mini golden doodle puppy almost but with more wiry terrier hair. He’s nervous at first and needs a little time to warm up to new people and situations but is sweet and playful. He loves other dogs and is much more confident around them so definitely needs another dog in the household to help him adjust. Gordy is 16lbs full grown, has been neutered and updated on shots and is ready for a home. He is lower shedding but does not have a non-shedding hypoallergenic coat Email njwoof@cs.com to bring your dog to meet Gordy in Northern NJ Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Submit an application from our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com to speed up the adoption process and email any questions to us at njwoof@cs.com. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.

Story
Meet Rosie, a lovable and energetic 7-year-old Cockapoo with a heart as fluffy as her golden curls. She’s a perfect blend of playful enthusiasm and cuddly affection, always ready for an adventure but just as happy to curl up in your lap for a cozy snuggle session. Whether she’s dashing around the yard, chasing her favorite toy, or greeting everyone she meets with a wagging tail and bright eyes, Rosie's zest for life is contagious. At the end of the day, she transforms from a bundle of energy into the ultimate cuddle buddy, nestling close and melting into your arms. With her sweet nature and endless affection, Rosie is more than a pet—she’s a best friend and a source of daily joy. We do want to flag that with her high energy, comes a bit of anxiety. In her moments of excitement or nerves she has peed in the house and yaps quite a bit, but mostly does this because she's feeling a bit lonely or uncertain about your feelings towards her. Like a lot of us girls, she loves reassurance.

Story
Hercules is 1 year and 3 months old, we had him since he was 2 months old. He is very playful, energetic, sweet, smart but at times stubborn. Very good around kids, never has shown signs of aggression, consoles when someone feels sad. Loves treats, cuddles, running in the yard and baths. Dislkes haircuts. Knows a few commands and is potty trained. Hercules is healthy, up to date with all vaccines. My family are looking for a family that can treat Hercules with love and care. He does require more time than we can provide to him since my partner and I work full-time and busy with our daughters schedules.

Meet Josh... What a sweet Special Needs Boy... Josh and some siblings were pulled from a Iowa puppy mill. When we heard that this litter of pups are the product of double merle parents were knew we had to step in to save them. 3 pups from this litter are considered special needs - Josh being one of them. Josh is a 11 week old male Cockapoo. Thats a mix of Cocker Spaniel and Mini Poodle. Josh is considered low shedding. Some people with allergies may still be affected by this cross. We estimate his full growth weight to be around 20 - 30 pounds. Josh will be seen by our vet to confirm his sight impairment. Josh is white with a merle coat coloring. His eyes are bright blue - typical look for a sight impairment pup. We know he can see, which just don't know how clear his sight is and if it will progressively get worse. All potential adopters should be aware of this, and have the ability to financially care for his medical needs. Josh is extremely friendly and social. He gets along great with the other pups and adult dogs in the home. He will probably exceed in a home with another dog to help guide him. Let's get this boy adopted. He didn't deserve being incorrectly bred with merle parents. Being fostered in Stony Point NY Using a wee wee pad for potty training Send an email to Onepawatatimerescue@gmail.com and request an application *** Thats the only way to get an application Adoption fee $350 We adopt in the Tri State Area ONLY NY, NJ, PA, CT, DE, MA, DC, MD, VT, RI, NH
