Story
Frankie is a 6-year-old small mixed-breed dog rescued in San Diego when he was about four months old. His DNA shows he is primarily toy poodle, terrier, and chihuahua, and he weighs about 13 lbs. He is fully potty trained, crate trained, great on a leash, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He has a low energy level and enjoys walks, cuddling, giving kisses, and relaxing nearby. As a poodle mix, he is groomed every 3-4 months. Frankie can be anxious and startles easily, especially in busy or unpredictable environments. He takes daily fluoxetine to help manage anxiety. Because of this, he would do best in a calm home, ideally adults only, empty nesters, or with older children who understand dog boundaries. He prefers to be the only pet and does not do well with cats or small animals. This decision is being made with a lot of love and care. Our goal is to find Frankie a quiet, stable home where he can feel safe and thrive.
