Story
Cooper is four years old. We bought him from a breeder in Georgia who has been breeding Cockapoos for a long time. Cooper has been a great family pet and is really great with adults, but in full disclosure he has had some challenging behaviors around kids at times (not often) and fairly frequent ear infections. He has been a great family dog overall for us and our three young children and is a sweet, small dog that just wants to sit up against you in the recliner or curl up against your legs if you are laying on the sofa. However, he will urinate or poop in the house randomly which may be due to the fact that we have another male dog. Bottom line is that he needs frequent walks to keep this from happening. We really hope to find him a great home, possibly someone who is home during the day and can walk him regularly. Our busy work and family schedules make that a challenge for us and I believe he acts out in defiance. He is crate trained and will go in on command.

Story
Meet Colin, a senior canine with a heart of gold. His sweet, friendly nature makes him the perfect companion. He's gentle and mellow, with a cuddly side that will warm your heart. Colin is housetrained and crate trained, making him a wonderful addition to any home. He's good with cats and enjoys the company of low energy dogs. Colin's temperament is ideal for a quiet, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort. He has a mild heart condition, but with his medications and regular echos completed, he's as jovial as ever. Here are some characteristics shared by his foster mom about Colin: "Loves a short walk around the neighborhood, LOVES playing fetch inside on carpet with stuffed animals, Wants to sit on couch with you while you read a book all day, Very Chill - just wants quiet environment." Adopt Colin and let his gentle soul brighten your days. Colin weighs 25lbs. and is approximately 12 years old (est. birth date 9/09/2012). Colin has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Colin's adoption fee is $305. If you want to know more about Colin, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. Story
By now you’ve probably heard of the horrific neglect case that resulted in Releash Atlanta taking on lots of poodles! Well, Birdie here is one of them! This little lady is approximately 2 years old and about 7lbs (should gain a pound or two), and is likely a purebred mini poodle, but we don’t know for sure. She is THE SWEETEST DOG her foster has ever taken in! Birdie is your little shadow, and she spends her days snoozing on the couch beside you, or on your lap. Birdie is doing well with house training, but not 100% so needs a patient adopter to help get her all the way there! She goes in a crate when her foster isn’t home, but isn’t the biggest fan of it - but who can blame her after her past! Because of her potential to bark when crated, she requires a home with no shared walls (apartment, certain townhomes, etc). She does sleep in bed with her foster mom all night with 0 issues or accidents, and potties as soon as her feet hit the ground outside, she’s a good girl! She walks well on a leash, gets along great with other dogs, rides wonderfully in the car, and is literally the sweetest little thing to everyone she’s met! Birdies WHOLE body wags, not just her tail. Birdie’s ideal home would have another friendly, small dog to help her gain confidence and show her the ropes, and maybe even play with her! She doesn’t NEED a fenced in yard but that’s a bonus! She would do best in a home with someone who isn’t gone all day since she doesn’t love being in her crate. Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! While we make our best guesses, we often don’t know what breeds our kiddos are made of. We cannot guarantee our guesses will always be right but CAN guarantee they are 100% good dogs! Our adoption fee is $350. **We only adopt to families in/around Atlanta, Ga (about a 1-2 hour perimeter)** If you are interested in any of our dogs, please visit https://releashatlanta.com/adoptable-dogs.php to either view more of their profile or to apply to adopt! Story
Hi, I’m Dahlia! I’m pretty much the definition of a Couch Potato. My favorite thing in the whole wide world is sleeping—whether that’s snuggled up in my cozy bed or curled up on the couch. When I’m not napping, you can find me playing with my favorite balls and toys or enjoying a nice walk (I might get a little energetic when I see a cat, but don’t worry, I’m easy to redirect and always ready to keep walking).I’m a friendly girl who loves meeting new people. I’ll greet you with excitement and curiosity, and if you’re sitting down, I’ll probably try to snuggle up next to you. I’ve met a few dogs on my walks, and I’m totally chill with them. I’ll give them a sniff and move on. Cats, though—oh, they really get me moving! I get a little excited and try to chase after them, but I’m always easily redirected by my humans.I’m still learning to ring a bell when I need to go outside, but I’m a good girl and haven’t had any accidents so far. I sleep in my crate like a little angel and haven’t made a peep at night. I’m kind of like a little old lady in that way—love my rest, but I’ll check in on the family every now and then to make sure everyone’s okay. One of my quirks is that I once jumped onto the dining table (whoops!), but now I know better. I stay off and just enjoy hanging out wherever I’m comfortable. I *love* being petted and will come looking for attention when I’m in the mood for some affection.I think I’d be perfect in any family. I’m super adaptable, and whether you’re a couch potato like me or active and out and about, I’ll be right there with you, ready to love and snuggle.
