Story
This little lady has big energy and a bigger heart!  Hi, there! My name is Delfina. I’m a 2-year-old, 15-pound Poodle mix with a heart as full as my curls! I may be on the smaller side, but I’ve got a big personality and lots of love to give. Life hasn’t always been easy—I was rescued from an LA shelter with head and jaw trauma. I’ve fully healed and am now ready to find my pawfect furever home! I’m an energetic, playful little lady who adores attention. If you have another fun-loving dog, I’d be thrilled to have a playmate! I can sometimes be picky about my doggy friends, so a meet-and-greet would be awesome. I’ve been pretty good with my foster cat sibling, too—I just wish they’d play with me! As for kids? Yes, please! If they’ll play with me and give me all the belly rubs, we’ll be best buds. I enjoy my walks, running around to burn off some energy, and then curling up for a cozy nap. I’m still working on my potty training, but I’m great on a leash. I do get a little anxious when my people leave and might cry for a bit, so I’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. A work-from-home human or a family with lots of love to give would be my dream!  If you’re looking for a cuddly, fun, and affectionate little sidekick, I’m your girl. Let’s meet to see if we’re meant to be. I sure hope so!  My adoption fee is $450 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##2198718##

ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Meet Sherlock! He is a 24lbs, 3 years old, white Poodle mix. Sherlock loves humans and will bond to all his primary humans quickly. He will also play well with other dogs. Sherlock has lived a difficult life and as a result is very food and treat motivated. Clear boundaries are needed for Sherlock as he has an oral fixation and wants to nibble on his humans to express affection. The oral fixation is easily corrected with food and treats, but probably not appropriate to live with children under that age of 12. He loves to snuggle and will love you deeply if you’re scratching him. Sherlock can be unsure of new humans and new environments and needs a moment to acclimate. He walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. Due to his past life, Sherlock does have some abandonment trauma and will always prefer to be with his humans rather than home alone. His Foster says he can be alone at home for a few hours but will be sitting at the door waiting for you the entire time. He is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Can you give him the great life he deserves? Sherlock’s adoption fee is $300.   All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  February 17, 2025, 12:14 pm

Story
Meet Morita, this little piranha is the cutest baby you will ever meet. A little puppy full of energy and excited to make new friends. She loves to play with dogs and cats, she is usually very friendly and sociable, she adapts easily to new environments, and loves to play with balls, small stuffed animals, ropes, and anything you give her, she is in her naughty stage, and she is too adorable, easy to train, she is in potty training, she still has some accidents but it is normal in a puppy. He is also learning to walk on leash. She has no problem wearing clothes, bows or having a ponytail. She likes to sleep in a big and comfortable bed, or sleep in bed with you, she usually follows you around the house running, even if you walk, she is tiny, haha, she likes to play biting (but it doesn't hurt, it's just because she is a puppy) Intelligent, adorable, loving, she likes to give lots of kisses, she welcomes you with joy when you come home, and she knows how to ride in a car.
