Story
Clifford is mostly Chow. He weighs around 60 pounds and we estimate he is around 2 years old. He was dumped on the side of a rural road with a litter of puppies and was rescued by good Samaritans. Clifford is a super wonderful dog. He is sweet, gentle, and good-natured. He especially loves puppies and gentle children. We do not know how he would do with cats. Clifford is a very good boy. He is crate-trained, sits on command, and walks well on a leash. Texas is extremely hot, and Clifford is happy to be in his crate inside the air-conditioned house. We are working on housetraining and he could probably use other gentle obedience training. Clifford rides well in a vehicle but is a bit nervous about getting into the vehicle. He is shy with new people (especially men) and takes some time to trust. Clifford is sensitive and scared of mean voices, rough treatment, and dogs that are mean to him. We are sure he was not treated well by whoever had him before. Clifford needs to be treated gently so he will trust you. Once he trusts you or another dog, he becomes happy and playful. Clifford deserves a wonderful home. He must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a fenced yard to run and play. Clifford is neutered, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Clifford has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm-free. He gets monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Clifford is ready to change his zip code. He is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. Clifford's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Hagerstown, Linthicum Heights, or another stop closest to you. Story
Appa (pronounced Papa without the P) needs immediate adoption due to the death of a family member. He has an adoring and quirky personality once he gets to know someone. He is 6 years old and 55-65lbs. When Appa sees other dogs, he usually sniffs around and then just lays down because he is super lazy, but he’s not the biggest fan of human strangers because he is protective of trusted owners, specifically when in the home. He is perfect on walks but when he see squirrels he gets excited. Appa, like all chows, takes a few days to get used to someone and it is best to leave him be and let him approach. Appa is completely house trained and loves being in the car and generally exploring the house. He is fit for apartment life. Appa hates being blow dried but is okay with baths, and he loves getting belly rubs and lots of pets from trusted owners. Otherwise, Appa can be independent and doesn’t always need human attention. Appa also comes with his harness, leash, and a supply of meds!

Story
Rusty enjoys a slower pace of life. He loves to be rubbed and hang out on the couch. He does enjoy his walks. He gets along with other dogs as long as there is a proper introduction. He is a happy go lucky boy. He has hip issues so long walks aren't recommended. He does like walking leisurely around the yard. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He can travel to anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1501779##

Story
https://foha.org/pet/ashland2021/ Hello world! I'm Ashland! One look at my sweet face and my adorably silly ears, I promise you'll fall in love. I'm a sweet southern gentleman who loves a nice stroll through the woods. I walk nicely with a harness and love exploring. I love adventures and car rides. I'm the perfect passenger and will look out the window or lay down in the back seat. I may even poke my head up front to give you a kiss. I know "sit" and "down" and will do both happily and even without a treat! Since I can be a little shy, I do best with a slow introduction. Once I warm up and trust (doesn't take too long especially with some yummy treats and a gentle touch), I love with my whole heart. I'll lean in for snuggles and belly rubs. And I'll be all tail wags. I've even been known to do some zoomies when I get excited to see my favorite people. I will be best in a home with no kids under 10 years old. And I'd really love to be the only dog for you to love. I can be reactive in new situations so living in a condo, apartment or townhouse are not recommended. I'm really good at letting you know if I'm feeling uncomfortable and my usual happy wagging tail will droop. I prefer to live a nice quiet life. City life isn't my style. I do hope that I can become your new best friend! If you have a nice house with a fenced in yard I would be so happy! Submit an application and come on out to meet me!
