Story
The votes are IN and we ARE the WINNERS!! Found at the side of a country road (very common dumping ground, next to the railroad tracks), and saved by a wonderful "foster" and her husband and son and other doggy friends :) We started living like REAL loved puppies the day she saved us!! We are learning potty training and are crate trained experts!! We are leash training as well, but you have to understand.... we were never loved, never lived IN a home and NEVER had ANYONE CARE!!! So, potty trained or not, we are over the moon (and so is our foster mom). But now it is time to find our furever homes! We love and play very well together and would be ideal as a pair, but do NOT have to be adopted together. We need another calm and confident dog to keep us happy/played with and to teach us all we need to know about being loved pups :) We are gorgeous pups and our coats will accent your hair :) ADOPT...DON'T SHOP!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Story
Autumn is available for adoption with full transparency, honesty, and a whole lot of love. She is a Chow/Shar-Pei mix puppy with a huge spirit packed into a tiny body. Though she may be small, Autumn is fierce, fearless, and absolutely convinced shes larger than life. She loves toys, enjoys the company of other dogs, and when shes finally ready to rest, she turns into the sweetest little snuggle bug. She is smart, bold, full of personality, and affectionately known as our spicy little potato. After continued struggles with recurring UTIs and vaginitis, Autumn returned to the vet for extensive testing. We learned that she was born without her left kidney and is now showing signs of anemia. Follow-up bloodwork confirmed our greatest fear Autumn appears to be going into renal failure. While she is currently stable, our veterinarian has been very honest that Autumn has a real possibility of a shortened life expectancy, estimated to be two years or less. What that timeline looks like is uncertain it could be months, or it could be longer but it is something all potential adopters must take into very serious consideration. Despite this devastating news, Autumn herself hasnt slowed down one bit. She is still joyful, playful, and full of life. Because of that, we have made the loving decision to let Autumn live the very best puppy life possible for however long she has filled with comfort, fun, safety, and love. She continues to enjoy her days on her foster familys farm, where she loves running, playing with other dogs, and exploring alongside the farm animals she adores. She may still attend events as she feels up to it, eager to meet the people who have cheered her on. Autumn deserves a special home one that is understanding, compassionate, and prepared to love her deeply, whether her time is short or longer than expected. She is still sweet, deserving, and so very loved, and she deserves a soft place to land for the rest of her journey. If you feel able to give Autumn that gift a home full of comfort, patience, and unconditional love please reach out. We are happy to share more details and answer any questions. You can also follow updates on Autumns journey and enjoy her silly, lovable antics on Little Big Dog Rescues Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/littlebigdogrescueVA Adoption fees are $350 unless otherwise stated. Senior dog adoption fees are $200. 100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest.
