Meet Chance. He is being fostered in Athens TN east TN. Out of state welcome. Transport to the north east and Great Lakes areas available and if you’re seeing this on adopt a pet the transport fees are included in his adoption fee. We use rescue riders for our pet transport because they are the best on the road! Chance is a sweetie pie. He looks big but he is such a little thing only 30lbs fully grown. He does have a bigger head than body but it just makes him more cute. He’s great with other dogs and doesn’t know a stranger. He was a stray that likely had been either kicked really hard in his rear end or gotten hit by a car we hope it was a car and that no one would do such a thing. He is current on all vaccines and is neutered and chipped. He does great in his crate and is potty trained. He’s pretty chill and his previous injury is likely why. His vet appt went well and x rays revealed old injury that has healed and bones have fused. He cannot lift his tail straight up or even as high as his hip (but he has no problem wagging it and letting you know he adores you). He sometimes limps on his back right leg but sometimes he runs full force on it. He may develope some arthritis in his old age but til then nothing is stopping this kid from living his best life and being the amazing boy he is. Since he was a stray previously we prefer his new home have a fence. He is such a precious soul. Everyone who meets him are instantly in love with him. Apply at pet path.org

*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. I'm a sweet southern gentleman who loves a nice stroll through the woods. I walk nicely with a harness and love exploring. I love adventures and car rides. I'm the perfect passenger and will look out the window or lay down in the back seat. I may even poke my head up front to give you a kiss. I know "sit" and "down" and will do both happily and even without a treat! Since I can be a little shy, I do best with a slow introduction. Once I warm up and trust (doesn't take too long especially with some yummy treats and a gentle touch), I love with my whole heart. I'll lean in for snuggles and belly rubs. And I'll be all tail wags. I've even been known to do some zoomies when I get excited to see my favorite people. I will be best in a home with no kids under 10 years old. And I'd really love to be the only dog for you to love. I can be reactive in new situations so living in a condo, apartment or townhouse are not recommended. I'm really good at letting you know if I'm feeling uncomfortable and my usual happy wagging tail will droop. I prefer to live a nice quiet life. City life isn't my style. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application here: http://littlebigdog.org/available-dogs/ Honey is a feral dog. We are not sure of her exact age, whether seven, ten or older. She lives on a fenced property and prefers sleeping outside except when there is weather, in which case she comes into the house through the doggy door and waits for the storm to pass. Honey loves dogs and lives with at least 14 other dogs who are residents of our senior sanctuary. Honey watches over all the dogs, and inspects every new dog who enters the pack. She has never had a problem with another dog. Honey is happy and healthy. She is very playful and dances for her meals. She playbows with the dogs and loves to run and jump with them. She does not want close contact with humans unless you have a piece of raw meat in your hand, then she will come right up to you and gently take the meat from your hand. Honey has no grooming needs because she will not allow you to get near her. She gets her flea/tick and heartworm preventative in pills in her food.Adoption fees are $200 unless otherwise stated.  Senior residents of Dot's Old Dogs Home are generally not available for adoption.  100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected chained/penned dog or yard-sale dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest. Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; grooming (if applicable); heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter.
