Story
Meet Gorda! Our amazing 9 year old Chow mix girl Gorda is ready to find her forever family! She’s looking for someone who can provide daily walks and an active lifestyle. Here’s some info about her.Walking Needs: She tends to pull strongly at first but eases into the walk as she settles. Daily exercise is essential for her happiness!Family-Friendly: Gorda has done well with children in the past and thrives in a family home environment.Dog Compatibility: While she enjoys the company of other dogs, she does best with neutral, low-energy, and submissive companions.Cat Tolerance: She has shown neutral behavior around cats. She spends a lot of her supervised time around our cat, and she shares the bedroom with us at night. She occasionally gets curious, but a simple `no` or `leave it` redirects her attention.Affectionate Nature: This girl craves companionship and prefers being close to her humans. She enjoys cuddling and often sleeps at the foot of the bed or beside you.Crate Training & Anxiety: Gorda struggles with crate training and struggles with separation anxiety, which is currently managed with Trazodone.Active Lifestyle Lover: She adores outdoor activities like walking, jogging, and sniffing sessions. If you`re physically active, she will be your perfect match!Car Rides: She`s enthusiastic about car rides but can get a bit anxious during them. Patience and reassurance are key here.Stubborn Spirit: Although she can be a little stubborn initially, her loving nature more than makes up for it.If you have experience with dogs and are ready to welcome this sweet senior into your home, please consider adopting her. She promises to fill your life with love, joy, and plenty of outdoor adventures! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Balto has been with us since he was a pup. He is 3 years old. He is a very sweet dog. Loves to play and loves peanut butter. But, he is not good with livestock or small animals. Huskies and chows are natural hunters and because of this he has killed sheep and chickens. We have to keep him on a leash at all times because we have sheep. Needing some one to remove him where he can run around freely.

Story
We have 4 puppies for adoption. Their mother (a chow, not sure if pure breed) was dumped in our yard early last summer. She went in heat and was soon pregnant. It was after her pregnancy began that she started letting my family interact with her. She is a very loving and friendly dog. We do plan on keeping her. Approximately August 22, she had 7 puppies. We are not sure of the exact mix but a couple of the father options are spaniel and poodle. The puppies have been with us since birth. We have 3 females and 1 male that are still needing a home. They do not have their shots and are not house trained. They are all very friendly.

She is very friendly but very skittish. She is the "runt" of the litter.
