Story
Meet Gorda! Our amazing 9 year old Chow mix girl Gorda is ready to find her forever family! She’s looking for someone who can provide daily walks and an active lifestyle. Here’s some info about her.Walking Needs: She tends to pull strongly at first but eases into the walk as she settles. Daily exercise is essential for her happiness!Family-Friendly: Gorda has done well with children in the past and thrives in a family home environment.Dog Compatibility: While she enjoys the company of other dogs, she does best with neutral, low-energy, and submissive companions.Cat Tolerance: She has shown neutral behavior around cats. She spends a lot of her supervised time around our cat, and she shares the bedroom with us at night. She occasionally gets curious, but a simple `no` or `leave it` redirects her attention.Affectionate Nature: This girl craves companionship and prefers being close to her humans. She enjoys cuddling and often sleeps at the foot of the bed or beside you.Crate Training & Anxiety: Gorda struggles with crate training and struggles with separation anxiety, which is currently managed with Trazodone.Active Lifestyle Lover: She adores outdoor activities like walking, jogging, and sniffing sessions. If you`re physically active, she will be your perfect match!Car Rides: She`s enthusiastic about car rides but can get a bit anxious during them. Patience and reassurance are key here.Stubborn Spirit: Although she can be a little stubborn initially, her loving nature more than makes up for it.If you have experience with dogs and are ready to welcome this sweet senior into your home, please consider adopting her. She promises to fill your life with love, joy, and plenty of outdoor adventures! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
What's more appealing about Bruin: his beautiful brindle coat, or the way one ear flops over and the other stands up? Both! Not to mention his happy-go-lucky playfulness! This two-year-old boy certainly has a look all his own. Bruin's personality is also a joy. He's excellent on his leash and doesn't get bothered if other dogs bark. In fact, he'll likely cry in hopes of getting to meet a new friend. He's eager for introductions, but hasn't had a chance to meet many other pups in his current foster home. Housebroken and crate trained, Bruin will likely fit easily into a busy family. If you throw a toy, he'll definitely want to play with it, just don't count on getting it back. He wants to play and will roll around and happily show off his playful side. If he shows you his belly, he'll likely want to get a belly rub, too. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallaspetsalive.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/.
