Story
This is a very painful thing for us to do. My partner rescued Milo from The Saginaw Shelter in December 2022. Milo was in the shelter for 2 years, before that he came from an abusive home, he was taken away from his owner. Milo has some aggression issues. Typically when he is with just myself or partner he is fine. When people are over he gets excited and jumps on them and nips them. The last incident was when my daughter was walking out of her room and she tripped over him. Milo bit my daughter in the face and arm. We have young children and elderly in our family, at this point I don’t feel safe leaving Milo with them. It breaks our hearts but at the same time, we have to do what we feel is right for our family as a whole. Please understand this is a very hard thing for us to do. We are also not willing to risk our families safety anymore. If your a single guy or gal who doesnt have many children or elderly around, Milo is perfect for you.

Story
Trumpet A16779941 lb. neutered male, approx 2 years old -Slightly nervous boy-Enjoys being close for pets-Gives kisses-Takes treats gently but never ate them-Not into toys at the moment-Sweet guy!-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids. Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm. The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing. 1431 E Ferry St. DetroitUnknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids.Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. Story
Sage is a bold and intelligent mixed breed dog, with a heart of gold. She is affectionate and attentive, but also silly and independent. Sage had puppies with us, and one of the puppies had a DNA test done. We therefore know that she is a makeup of very many breeds, predominantly Pitbull and Chow. Sage is super duper clean, and very food motivated. She will fly through the air for as little as a kibble. Sage is a lot of fun to train, she follows a lure great, and knows commands like 'jump' 'down' and 'crawl'. Sage is dog selective, but leash reactive. She should be the only dog in her household. Sage is not getting any applications because she is ugly. She is a soft, snuggly dog who will make you laugh every day. She has humble expectations of what a great life is!
