Story
Meet Chance. He is being fostered in Athens TN east TN. Out of state welcome. Transport to the north east and Great Lakes areas available and if you’re seeing this on adopt a pet the transport fees are included in his adoption fee. We use rescue riders for our pet transport because they are the best on the road! Chance is a sweetie pie. He looks big but he is such a little thing only 30lbs fully grown. He does have a bigger head than body but it just makes him more cute. He’s great with other dogs and doesn’t know a stranger. He was a stray that likely had been either kicked really hard in his rear end or gotten hit by a car we hope it was a car and that no one would do such a thing. He is current on all vaccines and is neutered and chipped. He does great in his crate and is potty trained. He’s pretty chill and his previous injury is likely why. His vet appt went well and x rays revealed old injury that has healed and bones have fused. He cannot lift his tail straight up or even as high as his hip (but he has no problem wagging it and letting you know he adores you). He sometimes limps on his back right leg but sometimes he runs full force on it. He may develope some arthritis in his old age but til then nothing is stopping this kid from living his best life and being the amazing boy he is. Since he was a stray previously we prefer his new home have a fence. He is such a precious soul. Everyone who meets him are instantly in love with him. Apply at pet path.org

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=44, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=46) completely. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). Story
Sage is a bold and intelligent mixed breed dog, with a heart of gold. She is affectionate and attentive, but also silly and independent. Sage had puppies with us, and one of the puppies had a DNA test done. We therefore know that she is a makeup of very many breeds, predominantly Pitbull and Chow. Sage is super duper clean, and very food motivated. She will fly through the air for as little as a kibble. Sage is a lot of fun to train, she follows a lure great, and knows commands like 'jump' 'down' and 'crawl'. Sage is dog selective, but leash reactive. She should be the only dog in her household. Sage is not getting any applications because she is ugly. She is a soft, snuggly dog who will make you laugh every day. She has humble expectations of what a great life is! Sasha is a beautiful, sweet girl. She doesn't chew on or detroy anything .She is skittish. She doesn't bite and is good kids. She does not like riding in the car and gets car sick. I medicate to take to vet or groomer. I got her from a breeder when she was 14 weeks old. She is a nervous dog but very sweet . Would be good companion for a woman .I love her very much but I need to find her a good home . I travel alot and my lifestyle has changed.
