HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM AUNT BO! Aunt Bo is a sweet 8-year-old Chow Chow mix in need of a foster or forever home. Like most seniors she's sweet & quiet & gentle. She has been fine around other dogs so far and is in good health, though we noticed a small lump (hopefully fatty) on her so will get that checked out soon. If you can open your home and heart to an sweet older girl in the new year, please email for an application.

Every great story has a hero, and in this tale of fluffy royalty, Jaguar is the last cub standing. At just 11 weeks old, this Chow Chow prince is the final member of the Pride litter still searching for his forever home. His siblings have all trotted off to their kingdoms, leaving him as the reigning ruler of puppyhood, ready to find his own royal family. But don’t let that fool you—Jaguar is no sad, forgotten pup. He is the grand finale, the showstopper, the puppy equivalent of saving the best for last. With his boundless energy, goofy personality, and undeniable charm, he’s ready to turn your home into his very own savannah playground. Jaguar is the class clown of the Pride litter. He’s the one who finds the biggest toy in the room and drags it around like a trophy, making sure everyone sees his accomplishment. He’s the pup who pounces on shadows, chases his tail like he just discovered it exists, and flops dramatically when he doesn’t get enough attention. He’s got that classic Chow Chow confidence—he struts rather than walks, surveys rather than simply looks, and occasionally decides that bath time is beneath him (don’t worry, he can be bribed with treats). He’s a fluffy ball of mischief wrapped in pure love, and he’s waiting for the perfect family to give him the adventure he deserves. A day in Jaguar’s world is a masterpiece of puppy chaos and cuddles. He wakes up with a dramatic stretch and a big yawn, ready to tackle the day. Breakfast is at 7 AM, and he takes his meal very seriously—after all, a future king needs his fuel. After that, it’s time for the morning zoomies, where he sprints around like a tiny lion on the hunt (except his prey is usually a squeaky toy or a rogue sock). By mid-morning, he’s following his humans from room to room, making sure they don’t get lost (because clearly, they need his supervision). Around noon, it’s nap time—preferably at your feet, but if he can sneak onto the couch, even better. Afternoons are for adventure. Jaguar is always curious about the world, whether that means sniffing every single leaf outside, wrestling with a stuffed animal twice his size, or learning new tricks (he’s treat-motivated, so training is a breeze). Evenings are all about winding down with a cuddle session—yes, this playful pup also has a soft side. He’ll happily snooze next to you after a long day of important puppy business, dreaming of his future home and all the love he’s about to receive. Jaguar is loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining. He’s looking for a family who’s ready to embrace the puppy energy, laugh at his silly antics, and enjoy the snuggly, devoted companion he’ll grow into. If you’re looking for a pup who will keep you on your toes, make you smile every day, and love you with his whole fluffy heart—Jaguar is your guy. Come meet the last (and greatest) of the Pride, and get ready to fall in love! The Pride puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog of their own in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 7 unless they currently live with a Chow. February 15, 2025, 11:01 pm

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $700 *Lioness is an option for Foster-to-Adopt!*    Lioness is a 1 year old Chow Chow ready to find her pride and live her best life! Lioness arrived at our rescue with her 2 week old safari puppies. She was an amazing mom to her boys and now that they are grown up she is ready to find a forever home of her own. Lioness has a gorgeous fluffy coat, that classic black tongue, and an absolutely magnificent mane. Lioness is ready to hit the block with her new humans so come on down to the DPS Zoo today!       Lioness is your typical chow: loyal, playful and always happiest when she is with her people. She is energetic and fun-loving with her humans. She loves her plush toys and has a favorite racoon that she carries everywhere with her. Lioness is very smart and food motivated which has made training sessions a blast for everyone involved. She would love a bed near a large window so she can watch the world go by. Lioness is more on the quiet and laid back end of dogs but she does like to explore nature. She would be a great option for a home who likes to be in nature. With her gorgeous coat, she stands out anywhere she goes and she draws all the eyes in a crowd. Her dream home would also have a lot of room for her to play and run around in so she can live her best life.  Lioness wakes up and heads out on her morning potty walk. She comes inside for breakfast at 9 AM and then spends the remainder of her morning lounging around as she keeps an eye on her babies. She has lunch around 3 PM followed by another short walk. In the evening, she has dinner and then spends the rest of her evening lounging with her humans. She goes out for one more potty and then goes into her room for the night.   Lioness gets along with dogs and cats alike. She needs a slow introduction when she meets new people and they should be aware that they need to go at her pace. Chows are a very unique breed who require a home prepared for the training, socialization, and grooming requirements of the breed. We will be seeking homes who have Chow experience.      Lioness is only an option for homes with Chow experience. Kids should be over the age of 12.     February 10, 2025, 5:41 pm
