Red WolvePit Bull Terrier mix2 years/Male24-D239Intake: August 15, 2024This guy has it all, looks, charm, manners and the love for belly rubs. He knows sit, shake, and does well on a leash and loves pets and attention. He is trying to break the world record of the most treats caught without missing, he made it to almost 20 but sadly we ran out of treats. Red Wolve will need to meet all family members, including resident dogs, to make sure everyone gets along before going home. Once home, please give him time to decompress and get used to what you expect of him. You will have to put in the time to train him and with patience, you will be amazed at how smart he is.Ready to meet this good boy? Pet viewing hours are Monday-Friday, Noon-7pm and Saturday, Noon-4pm.

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Hooti can't seem to stop havin' a hoot! This puppy is having the time of her life right now and can't wait to be adopted by a loving, caring, and fun-having family! Hooti was rescued by a very nice foster and is currently learning how to be the best puppy ever. She's working on crate and house training and doing okay in both. Hooti tends to be a screamer when she's in the crate and knows your about to let her out. Hooti tends to sleep through the night but might need a potty break. Hooti is your typical puppy who loves to play and chews on things, she loves playing hard with other dogs but might be a bit too much with littles and seniors. She tends to chase cats. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
I have a a couple of puppies that were dropped off near my home. I've kept them in the backyard so they don't get killed by neighbors. There is 1 male and 1 female. They do very well with my other dogs and my kids, and are very careful with my daughter with special needs. Both are very sweet puppies that are relatively active and want attention. If I had the ability to I would keep them myself, but I can not. They have very little training and have not been socialized very much. With a good home they could be great dogs.

Story
Regis is likely a Chow Chow/Shepherd mix. His estimated DOB is 8/1/2017 and on 10/11/24 he weighed 75 pounds. He came to us when local animal control found him injured and needing emergency medical assessment. We do not have any other background information. After a leg amputation and several months of TLC from our clinic staff, Regis is ready to find his forever home. He has this gorgeous mane that makes him look like a beautiful lion! Patience is needed when meeting Regis, as he is wary of new people. He will need a loving home without children. Come meet Regis, the king of the jungle, today!Regis was generously sponsored by George Foster during our Reigning Cats and Dogs event. Thank you, George Foster, for sponsoring Regis! Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm.
