Story
Baby is a 4yr old female Chiweenie that is full of love, energy and snuggles looking for a new forever home due to my mother-in-laws passing (10/9/2024). My mother-in-laws adopted her when she was 4 months old and Baby was her whole world. Baby loves to go on car rides, going shopping, share your Starbucks, and snuggling under the blankets with you anytime. She is also no stranger to air travel or driving cross country which is something she did 2-3 time a year between Arizona and Chicago. Baby gets long with cats and dogs but would prefer if the dogs were more her size. We brought her back to Chicago in hopes we would be her new home but it is not the right fit for her. So to do what is best for this sweet Baby we need to rehome her to a better fit. My large dog and being home all day with no humans is causing her stress. We are seeing become depressed and isolate but are unable to give more attention to heree then what she is already getting.

Story
Meet Karley! I'm a quiet little, 7lb adult chihuhua mix who loves to cuddle! I am dog friendly with other mellow pups (have not been cat tested) but prefer a mellow home that is free of young children and lots of activity. My most favorite thing to do is nap and then work on my chew toy when I wake up. Short walks are ok but sometimes the outside world can be a little scary. However, I do enjoy having a fenced in yard and love hanging out in the sunshine. I have been doing really well going potty outside when on a consistent schedule. Sometimes though I need a little help getting outside or some patience using potty pads inside if the outside is intimidating at the moment. My confident foster siblings help me feel safe and I take cues from them so other friendly small dogs are important for me. I'm a little gal looking for the perfect home where I can feel safe and blossom. Since I’m so tiny and sweet, I can find new things and loud noises a bit scary but I just need time to feel comfortable and more confident. I definitely prefer females and need a lot of time to warm up to men, so would need any men in the home to be extra patient with me. Once I’m familiar with the people and pets around me my real personality comes out. I need a family that will be patient and understanding and let me do this on my time and when I’m ready. I am a stubborn little girl and do not like to be pushed. Once I’m comfortable I can show you just how playful and sweet I can be. My foster mom says I am the easiest dog in the world to love. Meet Archie! Age: senior Weight: 10 pounds Good with: kids (I live with two small humans and get along just fine with them), dogs (I prefer smaller dogs, but only bark at bigger dogs so they know who the boss is), I haven't met any cats just yet. House trained: yes, but sometimes I mark, so I wear a belly band so I don't have any accidents, and I really don't mind it one bit. It's easy peasy! Crate trained: yes Hey folks, Archie here! I’m a peppy little frenchie-chi mix. Look at these ears! Adorable!! I’m a friendly little fella and always ready to meet new human friends. Feel free to pick me up! I’ll lick you in the face and snuggle on your lap. I enjoy sleeping on the couch (the top cushion please! I am the boss after all), going for walks and sniffing around the yard. One of my favorite things is chasing toys and ripping all the stuffing out of them! Grr, I’m tough! At night and when the humans are gone for a long time, I snooze in my crate and it's my cozy place. Now that it's getting a bit colder, you can find me under the blanket. I hardly bark, so would probably do fine in an apartment.
