Nina and her sister Pinta were rescued from the dog pound. We believe these adorable girls are chihuahua/dachshund/pug mixes (the curly tails coming from the pug). Both girls have very soft fur. Nina has a bit of blue in one eye so there is something else in the mix. They are young, probably between one and two years of age. At 19 pounds, Nina is the larger of the two girls. Nina is very affectionate, sweet, and playful. She is a little shy but warms up quickly. She is a lapdog who loves pets and cuddles. She likes treats and will toss them around and play with them before she eats them. And we just found out that she loves snow! Nina would probably do best in a home with another small, playful dog to wrestle and play chase with. Nina is crate-trained but needs some more work with house and obedience training. Her new family should give her plenty of attention and playtime, take her on walks, and give her a lot of cuddles and affection. Nina must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and needs a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Nina is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Nina is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company. Scheduled stops include, but are not limited to, Hagerstown or Linthicum Heights MD. Story
Meet Lucky and Sassy bonded pair They are being fostered in East Tn. Out of state welcome and transport to your area to the north east and great lakes areas is included in their adoption fee. We use rescue riders for all of our pet transport needs because they have always been great with our pets. These two little ladies are a bonded pair and are twins. Lucky is the darker brindle of the two and Sassy is a bit lighter. They are absolutely sweet little doll babies. They love to sit on your lap and give love and kisses. They are house trained and pad trained as well as crate trained if needed. They are about 5.5 years old and fairly active but laid back just as much. They love chewing nylabone power chewers or any nylabone type hard chews. They only weigh around 9 lbs each so no lap is too small to share lol They tolerate cats ok but we think they would do best in a home with older children that can respect space and not chase or scare them. Ideally a home with a laid back lifestyle that loves to cuddle without too much stress would be great for them. The adoption fee is for them as a pair we will not separated them. Story
Beauregard is a spunky little old man! He’s got two speeds—power walk and napping— and he’s perfected the art of stealing anything soft the moment you stand up (pillows, blankets… dignity? Possibly). His foster family caught him luxuriously sprawled in a laundry basket of clean sheets the other day, looking like royalty. He is so active, alert, and speedy that we still can't believe he's 17 years young. Beauregard LOVES belly rubs and cuddling, though he's also happy to snooze in his bed. He gets chilly easily and like most of us needs to wear a cozy sweater or jacket when it's colder in the house or outside. He recently had his social media manager stage a photo shoot for him in his new hoodie because he was feelin' fly. His ideal furever family will love curating a snug wardrobe for him. Beauregard's social skills are top notch and he is a true master of negotiation — he even sweet-talked his hound foster brother into sharing his bed. He loves meeting all the people, children, and dogs he can possibly meet. He is always excited to go on a walk and is a gentleman on the leash. He is great at navigating outdoor steps but needs his human to help him navigate those slippery indoor hardwood stairs. Fostered in Winchester, VA Please apply to adopt at MirisHaven.org
