Story
These darling baby girls are a little over 3mo old and they weigh approx 7lbs. We expect them to be about 12-14lbs when full grown. Their mama is 18lbs. They are very sweet, affectionate puppies so lots of cuddles will be required. The blond girl (Mandi) has short hair. She is a bit more timid so an easy going home for her would be best. And she needs another dog in the home to help build her confidence. The black girl (Anna) has soft, wiry hair. She is a confident girl that likes to greet everyone and she loves to get out and explore. A more active family for her would be ideal. They are wonderful with other dogs and cats so other animals in the home would be great. Anna would be ok without another dog. They are very smart and are learning manners quickly. A small dog experienced home that will continue training is required. They love to be outdoors so a fenced yard is also best. Kids must be over 8 yrs old.

Animal Profile:  Pumpkin Pie is a bite-sized cutie that is looking for a new home here in Seattle. She was returned to the shelter with her pack-mate Apple Pie when her previous adopter found themselves in the hospital and unable to care for the two Chihuahuas. Pumpkin Pie is  a happy, well-natured girl that is friendly with dogs big and small, and she is easy to handle. She is estimated to be 2-years-old and weighs in at less than 6 pounds! Pumpkin Pie  is bound to find a lucky family here in the PNW!  Foster Update:   Pumpkin Pie's name is really apt because she is the sweetest! She's a super easygoing, go with the flow kind of girl. But she's got a fun and playful side! She enjoys zoomies on the hardwood floors, soft beds, cuddling in front of the TV, dinner, and her crate. She's fully house trained. She does well with our other small dogs, but isn't overly interested in them. She'd be fine with other dogs but also probably great as an only pup. No separation anxiety at all but she prefers to be near people. She did great in the car.  Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration. Animal Profile:   Chico is a 1-year-old, 6lb male Chihuahua that was rescued from the side of the road in southern California. Unfortunately, this is all too common, and when no one came to claim him our rescue partners asked if we could help. Of course we said yes! Chico is heading to the PNW for greener pastures and can't wait to find his family. He is friendly with people and other dogs, and will make a wonderful companion. Foster Update:  Tiny Chico is so sweet and bursting with personality. He loves snuggling and being together. He is a great walker and wants to meet every dog he sees on the walk. He is an easy-going dog but also playful and fun. He is a good eater and isn't picky. He sleeps in his crate at night with no problems, but he would prefer to be sleeping together. He is house trained with regular bathroom breaks. He loves attention from people and being included; he will really bond with his chosen people. He is so cute, and he will look darling in some winter coats and sweaters! Animal Profile: Lemon is an adorable dachshund mix who is estimated to be around 1 year old and weighs 18lbs. She was rescued from a high kill shelter in Bakersfield, CA.  Foster Update: Meet Lemon! She is hard to miss with this adorable ears. Lemon is all love, and she is not afraid to let you know it. Lemon's foster mom describes her as follows: "Lemons is a velcro dog- she wants to be in your lap under a blanket and she wants to please her human; she is very quick to roll over on her back and submit to me. She is incredibly sweet, but doesn't know her own strength, which we are working on." Lemon is equal parts snuggle bug, equal part sidekick - she is ready to take on the world with her human! Lemon is being fostered with another dog and they get along well; Lemon often taking cues from the resident pup. However, Lemon does need clear leadership and boundaries to follow when living with another dog. Without a clear understanding of who is in charge, she feels she needs to be the one to protect her human, and she doesn't want that to be the case.  Stay tuned as we continue to get to know Lemon!
