Story
Meet Sandy, a delightful 4-year-old chihuahua mix who’s ready to fill your life with warmth and joy! Weighing in at just 12 pounds, this little sweetheart has faced some challenges, but her spirit shines brighter than ever. Sandy once had a wonderful home filled with love, and although her journey has been a bit bumpy since then, she’s now found her happy place in a cozy foster home. Sandy has a heart full of love and just wants to be close to her people. She adores going for walks and feels the wind in her fur during car rides. Playtime is her favorite—whether it’s fetching with her human pals or having fun with her doggy friends. A little caution is needed, though; if startled, she might get a tad nippy, so she’d prefer a home without cats and kids under 12. This precious girl is also quite protective of her loved ones, taking her role as a little guard dog seriously. While she may greet new faces with a bit of sass, a gentle introduction along with some tasty treats will help her warm up. Like many small pups, she’s a bit nervous during thunder or fireworks, but a tiny dose of trazodone will help her feel safe and sound. Sandy is quite the explorer! She’s clever and curious, so a securely fenced yard is essential for her adventurous spirit. And get ready for some giggles—watching her zoom around with her foster siblings will surely bring a smile to your face! With her food-driven motivation, Sandy quickly mastered the dog door in just 30 seconds, showing how eager she is to embrace her new environment. At the end of the day, all Sandy truly wants is a forever home filled with love—a family of her own where she can give and receive affection. With her sweet nature and loving heart, Sandy is ready to be your perfect companion, bringing joy and snuggles to your life. Will you be the special family she’s been waiting for? Sandy has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. Story
Meet Bambi! This tiny 7-lb. Chihuahua, about 3 years old, is a sweet girl who has so much love to give! Between her big ears, red and white coat, and gentle demeanor, it’s surprising how deer-like she really is. Bambi loves everyone, especially her people! She’s also good with dogs and kids (hasn’t been tested around cats). Even though it took her a little longer to warm up to her male foster, they have become great friends over just a few short weeks. Bambi’s chihuahua nervousness shines through when meeting new friends, but she quickly warms up and just wants affection and a lap to sit on. Though a little rambunctious during greetings, she soon settles in and just wants to snuggle in a blanket near her people. She’s getting used to the concept of personal space — all she wants is to smother you in love and kisses. Bambi has spent the last few weeks with her BFF, Tinkebell. Though not an officially bonded pair, being together gives them confidence and they are a great support to each other. They can be adopted together or separately. If they don’t stay together, Bambi would do best in a home with another dog. It has helped to have a friend to keep her company when her humans are away. Bambi doesn’t know a lot of commands like sit and shake but has fairly good recall and is eager to please. It is unknown how Tink does in a kennel solo, but she is content kenneled alongside her new bestie, with only occasional whining. Like all new pups, Bambi will need to be shown where to go potty, but after a couple of initial accidents at her foster home, her housetraining has been spot on! Bambi deserves all the love in the world. Her gentle sweetness might just be the secret ingredient your home needs! Check her out on Instagram @bambi_tinkerbell_the_fosters. Bambi has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped.
